Caribbean resort recommendations
Was hoping for some advice. I know it's far in advance, but I've always been that guy anyway. I've decided - for many reasons - to spend next Christmas and New Year's in the Caribbean. I've been to Mexico many times, Jamaica, DR etc, but wanted a place a little different. We'll also have a 1 year old then so a place that's kid friendly, safe etc. Also hoping for somewhere a little more "upscale" as we'll be there 2 weeks. Was thinking St Kitts, Aruba etc.
Any recommendations? |

Paradise Island Bahamas, good for kids, not sure about infants... Atlantis is upscale, they have multiple levels of accommodations, and the One and Only Beach Club is very high end!

I always had good experiences with Club Med, especially with small kids.

I am a big fan of Aruba, but I think it gets pretty crowded around Christmas. I've never spent the holidays there.

Try the Caymans. Grand Cayman is one of the cleanest Caribbean islands, great food, great diving, and plenty to do. Check out the Ritz, it's in a perfect location on the island, and of course a fantastic place to stay.

No it's not, it's perfect though. The island is very small and there are fantastic places to eat walking distance or just drive 5 min to Gustavia (center town) . The food at the hotel is close to Michelin level nevertheless. One more thing, b ready bc it's watch heaven. Can't recommend it enough I try to go every year. Feel free to pm me with specific questions.

We did an all in-inclusive @ Beaches on Turkes and Caicos, probably their nicest resort. Not really for couples but fantastic for families. Great scuba and snorkel.

I am looking into Beaches Turks & Caicos for my annual family summer vacation. Very nice place, but silly expensive compared to other all-inclusives at other islands. I can afford it, but I want to keep my vacation within a certain budget. You can't go wrong with Mexico or Jamaica. I am leaning towards going back to Iberostar Rose Hall Beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was there the summer of 2010. Great beach, pool area, kids activities, decent food for all-inclusive, close to airport, etc. Airfare reasonable and good deal on resort. Overall, a nice best bang for the buck Caribbean vacation.
