I've been to Switzerland, Interlaken to be specific. You really get the impression that Switzerland is an extremely rich country just by walking around and experiencing the scenery and the buildings. Its nothing like anywhere in the United States - in rich areas in the U.S. - everything gets big and new. In Switzerland everything is pristine. Second best country in the world!

I think the Vatican is actually it's own country, with it's own "Army."

I would love to visit Switzerland someday and growing up my best friend's parents were from there. And they promised to take me on a vacation to Switzerland which never materialized!!!

They spend 0.8% of GDP on military, compared to 1.3% in Sweden, 2.7% in UK, 4% in Greece, 0.6% in Ireland. Source: World Bank

Pretty low overall.

It doesn't have an Army. The Swiss Guard guards the Pope and is composed of Swiss volunteers.

I know, that's why I put it in quotes. I was expressing that the guards were their "army."
