It's the only fully polished 1950s case, so it's unique, and the Arabics make it pretty unique, too, having been inspired by an old clock OP made back in the day (Panerai was an instrument maker before a watch maker). Other than the 359, one sees Arabics on the 164, but that dial is painted compared to the 359's sandwich dial.

I could never warm up to these dials. IMO Panerais shouldn't have so many numerals on it.

I have always liked the 359. I really like the dial a lot. Go for it if it's the one calling your name.

very nice panerai. i like the numbers.

many people get use to it to simple pam. when you ask a newbie, they tend to love the one with the numbers. they say no numbers = too simple.

359 is the one that looks different from the other PAMs because of the numerals. This is one of the reasons I buy it, the other being the quick release mechanism that enables me to change straps easily and I have about a dozen straps to match with my clothes.

Agreed with Cru the all-polished 1950 case and Arabics are unique. Here's mine.
