Wife's New Rolex

Saturday was a crazy day. My wife and I were over at our local jeweler trying to get her new ceramic watch sized. She's wanted one for a while now. Well, as we were walking to the back of the store we happened past their used estate jewelry case. I spotted the Rolex immediately. We looked it over and then moved on. After leaving the store (without the Rolex) we walked over to Starbucks and talked over some Caramel Macchiatos.

Needless to say it didn't take much persuasion on my part to talk her into the watch. It's in amazing condition. The case and bracelet are ding and scratch free and the dealer had just fully serviced it. Whoever had this before us never wore it. We went back and she tried it on. It fit perfectly! That....was a sign

Here I've been trying to locate the perfect pre-owned Submariner as my first Rolex and we end up stumbling onto this one. I'm so excited for my sweetie.

And here's my little buddy checking out the new Rolex.

She's quite pleased. She e-mailed me this morning and said it's so comfortable.

I'm going to laugh when your cat eats this. ;-) Seriously though, that is a beautiful watch. I love the photograph of the watch face. I would love to have something similar to this. Is that silver or white gold?

That's sterling silver? That's really good quality. I normally don't like silver, but this photo sells it. Or maybe the photographer just has a good eye? ;-) How thin is the watch face, by the way? It looks a little bulker than Rolex's usual design...

It's stainless steel and 14k gold. I'm not sure of the thickness of the case.
