Icon14 a little Panerai accuracy bragging....

Just wanted to give a little accuracy report on my new Pam 104.
So far it has been 0 seconds in 2 days.

Just a update. My Pam 104 is now 0 seconds in 8 weeks and counting. Hands down the most accurate automatic I have owned. I have been keeping a detailed log and its almost boring how accurate it is. The watch gains +.25 seconds a day and then scrubs .25 off a night. Even on my winder it has been able to keep the accuracy streak up. It has blown any of my quartz watches away weeks ago. The movement is increadable stable from running a snowblower, jogging, to shooting high power hand guns and rifle. Nothing seems to phase the accuracy of this movement.

Sounds good!

7750 is a solid and time-tested movement. I have the same in my PAM and am very happy with the accuracy. What would in-house get me? Higher initial cost, higher service cost and unproven reliability.....with the same appearance and "feel" on the outside.

Absolutely agreed that PAM with ETA has better accuracy than PAM's in-house movement. My friend's replica with China made movement runs more accurate than my genuine P9000. LOL!

In 8 weeks 0 seconds???? My god didn't even know that kind of thing was possible with mechanical watches, maybe you got a "miracle" watch

Thank you......I also have a Omega Planet Ocean that was my previouse champ before my Panerai. It does +0 in 2 weeks but is more sensitive to its resting position. The Panerai doesn't seem to change its accuracy in about any position more than 1/2 second total. I do a mainspring test and a resting position accuracy test with all my new watches. Its a good way to monitor its internal health.
My last Panerai Pam 104 mainspring /power reserve test was 52 hours and 5 minutes. If that changes by more than 10% then its a good indication a routine service might be comming up. I check all my watches every year.
I have become a accuracy freak just by circumstance. Now all my automatics HAVE to do at least +2 or better in a day. Most good movements can be regulated 1/2 of COSC standards. My overall thought is that Panerai spends a little more time with all their movements in their regulation. I have found with other manufacturers that you don't get this level of accuracy and stability with just shooting for COSC standards like ALOT of manufactures do.
