is it possible to get the classic 183 and put gold hands on it?

or

if you were offered a 190 but a little more than $10k would you take it or is it ridiculous?

or

I put gold hands on my 210 and this is what the factory should have done.

I don't know where you got it done, but when I called the panerai shop in Paris asking if i could buy a display caseback, the answer was more or less "if panerai wanted this model to have a display caseback it would have one, your watch is like it is because it needs to be" and basically on a tone that you can imagine, very arrogant, when i told her that it was a 82 shadow case watch, so without the engraving and that it basically wasn't made to be in the market, she didn't know what a shadow case was, and even after explaining she said no... Never will I buy any watch from them...

considering there are several 42mm rads with gold hands, you should be able to track down an OEM set or maybe even a 3rd party set.

Thanks guys. These hands were sourced overseas and are from a 231. It took over a year to track them down and have them installed. It was expensive and a long wait but worth it in the end.

Gold hands for an ETA 6497 movement are readily available.

The tough part is getting the lume to match if you go with after-market hands.
I did not want to take any chances with an expensive (to me) watch like this.
Just my .02

Agree 100%; Either it's "non-matching" on purpose (tribute to Pre-V) or it better match 100%. Anything else just ain't gonna cut it...
