New arrival! Couldn't afford a Day-Date, so...

I scored a Breitling Headwind in awesome condition! I wish Breitling never discontinued this classic model, and always regretted not getting it when I instead got a SA three years ago.Its 43.7 mm, 500m water resistance. What do you think?

That has to be one of the nicest Breitling models by far and I love those complications... it is always better when they go for an understated look in their line... CONGRATS!

I'm curious about the "couldn't afford a day date" comment...were you buying used or new?

That is an awesome looking Breitling. I love the seconds hand that looks like an anchor at the end. Classy .

I think you have a nice buy.

I hope you are able to get your Day-Date at some point in the future.

That's a real cool looking watch, Vincent. I never knew Breitling made models that displayed the day in full. Good choice.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! I hope someday in my lifetime Rolex will come out with a Day-Date sport model! This Headwind is definitely heavy though!

Very nice find Vince.

I saw a LNIB on TZ last week, it's a beautiful watch. Too bad they discontinued it. Wear it in good health.

I had patiently searched on the TZ sales corner for more than a year to find one. Its also the first watch I have purchased sight unseen. Not disappointed though!

Looks great Vincent, enjoy! I used to own a Breitling Callisto (mid-size) that I thoroughly enjoyed. Ended up selling it only b/c of the 34mm size.

Beautiful acquisition -- congrats, Vincent!

IMO, other Breitling models are either too busy or blingy -- although that picture of the Navitimer is making me change my mind. Too bad Breitling discontinued the Headwind. Anyways, glad you found one after searching for a year. Wear and enjoy it until it's time for Jason to buy it!
