AD or Boutique?

If I wanted to buy a number of AP models and Patek models for personal use, is it best to try and build a relationship with an AD in the States or Europe? Is it best to go direct to the boutique? What would y’all recommend?

100% company owned boutique is your best bet IMO. AD's play favorites, but hey if you are buying 'a number' of pieces (other than a Nautilus, Aquanaut or Royal Oak) then you can have your pick of the litter at either outlet.

ADs are completely gone by next yr so it’ll be a waste of time to build a relationship unless hey sell Patek or something else. Just go with a boutique

What boutiques are company owned? I’ve heard the LA one is Westtime, assume that’s similar to AD?

Bal harbor Miami and 57th street NYC are the company owned boutiques in the US.

What about the Atlanta? Looking at website, the ones you mention and the Atlanta are the only ones that don’t mention ‘by AD’s name’

Nope. Watches of Switzerland, which owns Mayors.

The Atlanta one is run by Mayor's next door. The employees work at both places.

I don’t think that’s true. At least that’s what I was told by a couple of the SA’s there who were sent to Clearwater for training. But maybe there is some cross-coverage at times.

This is, in fact, true. If you grab a business card from one of the gentlemen at AP it will say "Operated by Mayors" on it :)

I was speaking in regards to “the employees work at both places”. Of course Mayors/WoS operates the Boutique; that’s no secret.
