Harrods Tudor

I have just registered with the Tudor branch in Harrods for the green bezel BB.
They were very keen to let me know that it was not a limited edition but a special edition. The sales assistant told me that they have, in the past, had upset customers thinking that they had bought a limited run.
They quoted 6-8 months for delivery. Is this about right or have people received their watch quicker than expected?

I've heard many stories of people getting it after around 8 months, some even sooner. It all depends how long that list has now got but all indications are that they are good at going through their list.

I think they get deliveries of them, seem to all appear at once on forums.

So you could be lucky, been around a while now, so hopefully should be quick enough.

I like the green too :)

Bit of advice, ring them in about 4 weeks and check you are definitely on that list!

Some of my friends discovered months later that they had never been added.

I put my name down in June, got the salespersons details fortunately. Rang 2 weeks ago to chase it only to be told I didn't feature on the list which did not go down well. Once they discovered how "disappointed" I was and that I had all the details of the original call they agreed to insert me in to the list where I should have been.

Someone posted yesterday that the list is now closed, your experience would suggest this is not the case.

The best way to add yourself to the list in my opinion is in writing via email, which I did two weeks ago. Was advised the wait is 6-10 months.

I think it depends on who you listen too, I have heard the list is 24 months. I think the reality is 6-8 months. I have looked at them, they look great but the BB is a big think watch. Imagine a 58 with a green bezel..Now that would be something special.

What email address did you use? I've used (help at harrods dot com) and not heard anything back? Is there a watch room-specific one?

I telephoned Harrods and asked for the Tudor watch boutique.
Spoke with a very helpful guy who took my details.
Don’t suppose it makes any difference but I did engage him in chat about my Tudor GMT and his 58. It never hurts.

curious... are they only taking orders for "locals" or are they taking world wide orders?

do you have to pick up in person or will they ship?

any deposit to secure to be on the list?

they will not ship. I know that for sure because i picked one up for someone else.

You can pay by bank transfer and someone can pick it up. You have 7 days to pay for it once they call. Does not matter if you are local or not to get on the list

That’s the address I used. It took 5 days for a reply so give it about a week before emailing again

Just got the call after 6 mos

I was in London in mid-April and put my name on the list while there. This past Friday I got the email and follow up phone call from one of the Boutique representatives.

They said they will not ship, must be paid for and picked up locally within 7 calendar days. I'm working on finding someone to pick it up for me this week. Next step will be getting it back to the states.

Definitely looking forward to this one as it'll be my first Tudor.
