A watch...Before and after...sentimental value and Rik...

Short story...my dad married my step mother “mom” in 1979. I was 7. My dad had custody of us kids and we became the Brady Bunch! While my dad and mom were dating, my mom gave him this watch. He’d never worn a watch before. He wore this watch for at least 30 years. Many broken crystals, cleanings and a metal Speidel stretchy arm hair pincher bracelet he started to wear a Timex Indiglo with a white face and black numbers that my sister bought him at Walmart. Going through his safe before hunting season last fall I found this watch. It was originally on a black leather strap that broke after a couple of years. Off to Rik it went! My plan was to give it to mom to give back to dad...40 years later! Rik serviced the movement, polished up the crystal and put a black strap on it for me. Before and after...
I can’t wait to see him wear it again!!

I’m really happy how it came out. I have it back to my mom to give back to my dad...can’t wait to see him wear it again!

The case was polished...it was the best Rik could do. It came out better than I expected.
