There is a BIG BIG difference.

1) Grays dont have to buy anything or put up extra capital. Meaning this is very easy to do and no risk on them.

2) They dont have to buy or take any less desirable pieces.

There is a big advantage doing this especially for grays and thats how many operate in Asia. So dont think the grays are upfront paying above msrp for them because they are not that was the main point.

dont forget people only want to pay retail now because its "worth" more than that. 3 years ago people didn't want to pay retail for pretty much any SS watch.

At least he didn’t start a thread about buying five sport models posting internet pictures and talking about when he put down the centurion card having to convince the guy to pay the extra charges.

Don’t count another man’s money or how he makes it.

David and other greys were selling at a DISCOUNT when the environment called for it.

I look at it this way; Anyone can sell anything at what price they want, if the price is too high, it wont sell, if it is priced at what the market will stand, it'll sell, I have absolutely no disagreement about that.

I wont pay above MRP, but thats just me. Having said that, if I had a spare couple of million in the bank (I don't), I wouldn't think twice about putting an extra couple of thousand down for something I want and that is hard to get.

That was not the issue and you know it.

Seems that you really have no idea?

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

Ever watched this video?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YztWmqUiZZE

Eric of CRM Jewelers admits he pays over retail for the hot watches he sells at 1.30

I can’t imagine DavidSW being any different.

I don’t know how old that video is but he said Pepsi’s are starting to ship and he’s seeing more on the market.

Well that explains why we can’t get a BLNR at retail

It is dated 6months old. But you know its always up and down. There is a point where it seems like Rolex opens the flood gates and more dealers are getting them. And then there is a drought after that.
