Is some company profiling what Rolex users are interested in???

In all seriousness, there’s no way to know where they could be from without the IP and this isn’t new. We’ve always had oddball greenhorns.

I just watched THE GREAT HACK on Netflix how election targeting happened from using questionaires generated by Cambridge Analytica and was amazed by how innocuous the questions were, and how they could target from that and from such small sample sizes.

But these recent questions here on TRF seem like the same type of thing. A bit out in left field and by first time "members".

So I was wondering.

Hey, it is possible but... by being here we've self profiled ourselves for them anyway. What watches do you like, what's your est income, where do you live, nationality, mental state, ketchup or catsup, gender (actually not that one. we've likely lost all or most of our female members) etc... So why bother?

Yes. Everyone who is on the internet is being profiled daily. Specific companies are interested in demographics that are advantageous to their brand. I wouldn't be surprised if Rolex owner's are a target group for may high-end product and service providers.
