Thoughts on CHNR root beer GMT

I saw a review of the CHNR on YouTube and found it to be a gorgeous piece. I currently have Batman jubilee and white ceramic Daytona. What are your overall thoughts on adding this piece to the collection? Is it as hard to get from AD as SS models?

I saw it in person. I want it. Let me enjoy my Milgauss for at least 6 months first

Oh. Cue the:

1. Are you getting it because you want it and why does hard to get matter?
2. See #1

In 3,2,1...

Haha. BTW, that is my question as well. If you love it, you will wait and be thrilled when you get it. I have the full RG version and love it. The dial/bezel combo are the stars of the show

They got it in the same shipment as the Milgauss. I was offered it the same day I picked up my Z-blue

You already have the BLNR. I will tell you that the TT CHNR is stunning.

It's a gorgeous watch. The Rose Gold needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate it (like many watches I guess).

I don't mind waiting in general but kind of exhausted of waiting and playing AD games after getting my Daytona and BLNR

If you were offered it and didn’t buy it, all I can say is

You should have

A seriously nice piece. Very different to The BLNR. Much better than the full gold version

If it comes up again

It's a beautiful watch. But you already knew that. I am on my AD's list for one.

Yea I like it so far but need to see in person. Too bad it was overshadowed by Pepsi in Basel 2018

What if I trade my BLNR for CHNR? Would that be bad idea? Worried about minimal wrist time for BLNR if I get the CHNR

Do not make that move buddy

There is a time and a place for both

The BLNR is a keeper

It would make a nice addition and different enough to enjoy with your Blnr. I cant imagine it being any harder to get than the Blnr.

I’ve seen this one in person, and it is something else.

A beautiful watch.

I have the TT CHNR and love it. Pictures don’t do it justice. Agree with an earlier comment, the CHNR and BLNR are two different watches so unless you have to I wouldn’t trade one for the other. Just rotate them!

If it's a daily GMT you need then the SS BLNR or BLRO are more practical.

The CHNR is the more visually satisfying piece though but can be a scratch magnet in all day use and it is a shame to spoil it's beauty so I use mine for dressy occasions and wear my BB58 as my grab and go.

I am impatiently waiting for my BLRO to complement the Root Beer.

Most people like the TT Root Beer better than BLNR or BLRO, but if they get offered them at the same time at their AD they will go for SS. It's mostly that they think it's better to go with the harder to get ones, also SS are cheaper and are more touted on socials media because the dealers get them cheaper and want to make money on them. Chnr is getting more popular as more people see it in person. A lot of people don't like TT or rose gold, but once they see how well Rolex RG blends with Rolex SS they fall in love. CHNR is the best GMT in my opinion. I have one, and also on a list for a BLNR, but I know even when I get the BLNR the Root Beer will have the most wrist time.

The 126711 CHNR is the most popular Rolex TT this moment. I prefer it above the BLNR oyster which I also own. It should be better obtainable at the AD because the MSRP is $ 5k above the MSRP of the SS BLNR and BLRO. But still you probably need a ‘relationship’ with your AD to get it within a reasonable time.

Picked one up for my wife a month or so ago - she absolutely loves it. I'm a big fan! Really love the contrast with the Rose and SS and the brown on the bezel just pops.
