I honestly think sitting in his passenger seat would be more exhilarating than sky diving.

I’ve been up Pikes Peak twice. Once many years ago when it was a dirt road and recently when it was paved. It’s damn high but was definitely more exciting before it was paved.

I spent my teen years up in Colorado Springs and daily could see Pikes Peak from my front lawn.
As a 17 year old the summer I graduated from high school and a few months before I went into the Army my friends and I drank and quasi camped on Pikes Peak to watch the Hillclimb. Back then the roads were not paved. 1979. Treacherous. Can't believe it is all paved now. |
