Rolex 16610 5 tick dial - from Alex Pig - legit?

Hi guys

Looking to purchase this 16610. It is this particular watch that came from the HK dealer Alex Pig:

http://alexpig.com/products/2004-rol...-box-and-paper

What upsets me is the 5 tick "swiss made" on the dial. Is that legit on a non-LV watch?

I see people saying good things about Alexpig in here, so would surprise me if it was not real.

Thanks in advance!

its appears to be legit. 5 tick is legit for f serial. that said it is sold out.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes im buying this exact watch through the guy that bought it from Alex (can tell by dings, serial etc - no doubts its this one).

I also found a few watches with that same "swiss made" above 5 ticks thing:

alexpig.com/collections/sold/products/2005-rolex-submariner-16610-no-hole-case-with-box-and-paper
chrono24.dk/rolex/rolex-oyster-perpetual-submariner-date-16610-lc100--id4772827.htm
chrono24.dk/rolex/submariner-date-16610--full-set--perfect-condition--serie-f---id4717163.htm

But i had look through 100+ F-series watches to find them, so still freaks me out a bit that this feature would be relatively rare (?!) because i see so many f-series without it?

I'm probably wrong (setting up an easy out for myself here) - but the angle on that rehaut looks very suspect to me. It's too angled and steep.

If I were you, I'd request and post the photos of both inside lugs with the bracelet removed.

There is some due diligence to do here before transferring money. It could be the lack of lens correction on these photos, but that rehaut angle looks weird!

I Agree, maybe someone can explain

Mm, I'm never happy when the photos appear to be taken to avoid clearly showing the cyclops and date wheel.

Hehe i took those last photos, but not to avoid showing the cyclops or date. That was just random from my part. It was just to show the rehaut for those asking to see that.

I emailed Alex about this very watch and he gave this reply:

"
It is correct for F and I did see some before. It is not called rare yet but It does less common. It doesnt have any premium on the price of the watch yet.

This watch was purchased from first owner and I did see the original purchase invoice of the watch but since there is credit card info so I leave that with him.

Lastly, if you in doubt of the authenticity, you can have a check in Rolex center and if it is fake, you can return the watch to your buyer and I surely will take back from him too.
"

However it would be awesome if another expert could give a second opinion on this watch as well :-)

I can't see the photos. Can you use photobucket or imgur ?

The more I study the AlexPig photos, the more I lean to the "lens correction" issue of the photos themselves. I can get the same effect looking at the face of my watch underwater.

I would still like to see other photos. AlexPig's photos leave much to be desired...

Yeah, that's strange. I tried Chrome, IE and Tapatalk... no go for me. I just see a circle with a dash in the center. Like a euro road sign..

How does the rehaut look in the new photos?

oh okay - Hope you can see them here. But yes I think the Haute in those photo does look a bit weird compared to how it really looks on the watch (which i believe matches the other photos of 16610 i have seen)
