Auction for 5711A with Tiffany stamp!!

Came across this watch that was recently purchased, July 2018, and is up for auction...

https://www.phillips.com/detail/PATE...E/CH080218/131

Auction price range is $41-61.5K

Not bad for a Tiffany dial 5711

Those estimates are very low, clearly designed to whip up a frenzy and drive prices high, very high!

They have listed a 5711 new for $64,500

https://www2.europeanwatch.com/29090.html

I remember only 4 years ago when you could by these for $22K

An exception to this would be the special edition 5396 for the boutique anniversary. As with anything, Tiffany or Patek, there are always exception to the rules.
True, however you can still buy from tiffany unstamped i.e World time and it would come with the blue box and paperwork

Tiffany stamps Patek at NYC store then distribute them to other stores that carry Pateks in US only. I asked Tiffany at Harrods once and they told me Tiffany dont distribute Pateks outside US..

Here’s the list of all Tiffany stores that carry Pateks-

NEW YORK, FIFTH AVENUE
ATLANTA, PHIPPS PLAZA
BEVERLY HILLS, RODEO DRIVE
HONOLULU, WAIKIKI
HOUSTON, THE GALLERIA
SAN FRANCISCO, POST STREET

I mean, I love watches, but this is tulip mania territory.

That’s 4X or less retail on an item about impossible to get. It’s a lot but I don’t agree it’s BTC or Tulip Mania yet. Both of those bubbles were a multiple of this premium and happened real fast. I think 5711 could stay real hot for years given new found recognition in popular culture for better or worse. I never loved the Nautilus line until I started wearing one. Now I’d pay a multiple of retail if I had to. It’s that good. Or I’m that dumb.

I agree, completely silly.

Especially considering the dual is one of the best things about the watch--why put unnecessary text on it.
