Thank you all! This was test run. Of course I like bracelets but sometimes want to change it up because too loud.... I agree need more dress watch strap like alligator. But seem like good quality alligator strap run for $300. Do you guys know any good alligator strap with reasonable price point?

Daydate 18038 on leather strap. Yay or nay

Nay... not that strap. I prefer the bracelet.

yay, but try a leather strap without the 'strings' on the side, this one tries too hard to be vintage

i agree. I love DDs on leather (prefer president bracelet), but I think it needs to be a little dressier. The distressed/vintage style looks better on the vintage sports models IMO.

I would not. The one unique thing about the daydate is the bracelet. It is not loud.putting on a band makes it look like a knockoff or Datejust.

Yay.

I actually think it looks classier on a strap.

On the right strap, I think it can look very classy and it definitely changes the look. Definitely some straps shown here that I’d like to add. Meanwhile here’s mine and a bit of a change with the 18078.

A Day-Date must have the president bracelet

I’m not a purist, and I think the strap looks stunning on the DD.
However, the president bracelet look even better.
One thing for certain - Rolex Day-Date’s are timeless.
Great to have options.

I like the bracelet much better, but it’s nice to be able to change things up, now and then. It must be a pain in the a** to change to the band.

Try alligator in Honey or Black, stitching to match, and tapering to 16mm at the buckle. A Hirsch London or something from Camille Fournet are probably best.

i like it on both.
The bracelet gives off classy and professional look.
With strap it becomes little more sporty and relaxed fit.

Very elegant with the strap. Love the contrast between the dark dial and the yellow gold. Nicely done Sir

I also had the itch to swap out the bracelets for an exotic leather strap. After some purchase and fails I found a guy/shop out of a Montreal that made the process very easy and the product very awesome. I ended up with a black ostrich leg with a medium shine for my submariner (flack face and ceramic bezel) and a tan alligator for my GMT-II (black face and black ceramic bezel). I love them both. I love the feel of them on my wrist, the smell of the leather and the look. It is a much more casual look than the bracelets are, which I like. My only issue is that I find myself swapping them out here and there as if they were an apple watch and band; anyone that as ever swapped out a strap from a Rolex will tell you that doing so is a heck of a lot more
arduous than an Apple Watch!! But it is worth the effort. Just be real careful not to scratch up the watch!
