I’d hate to see the BLNR go. But it’s Rolex, and it does what it likes. So far it has been working out. Only time will tell. My post doesn’t add anything to this conversation.

Perhaps they'll return as Cheeriios to denote the MkII recipe. Original Cheerios boxes will appreciate, especially if you have the original store receipt.

This is not a rumor, it came directly from Rolex. They'll introduce a new BLNR. It will look exactly the same as current model only the name will change. Rolex will call it "Batman Forever". This will end any discontinue speculation and "last batch" fairy tail forever.

This will only make the demand and price of BLNR on the secondary market shoot up even higher.

As long as mine is on its way to my AD by the end of the year, who cares what Rolex does to in 2019...

Why would he say that? Can he provide one? Is there a potential sale? What reason would he have for stoking the secondary market sales? Seems so bizarre.

I can’t see them discontinuing the BLNR. Maybe discontinuing the current reference and updating to the new movement. I certainly hope they don’t discontinue it altogether as I’m still waiting for my call!

Blue suit trousers and black socks? no.

It can be hard to carry off without being open to criticism from the fashion police. On the wrist though, you can maybe get away with it as it's only a few cm.

Of course, some people are happy to ignore the criticism. Screw you, I'll wear what I want. I'm Batnan.

Personally I can't get one because I have a aversion to the Cyclops - I'm not an elderly gentleman losing his sight. Were it not for that, I'd be all over the BLNR and BLRO as they're quite nice, that issue excepted.
OK, then, if I do go the "screw you" route and wear blue trousers and black socks, will the BLNR clash with that or would it be the proper accessory? If not, should I wear a Blusey or GMT LN? Which do I match - the socks or the trousers?

Or perhaps a Daytona, except I'd have to wear the Platona... and then the brown ceramic might clash it all to hell. What about a blue dial SkyDweller? Or the black... back to the which do I match with?

I suppose a Hulk or Kermit is way out?

Maybe Rolex will switch to the new movement, add a crown to the bottom of the dial, and update the model number.

I hope so, I'm not a fan of the 3186, the thing is flawed.

I'm going to agree, unlike the others, educated or not. Blue and black doesn't work for me either. I prefer the GMTIIC LN, and I don't like the new IWC Mark XVIII heritage only because they have blue hands on a black dial.

Brown shoes with black trousers are also out, so the root beer is not in either (but I like it better in RG). These swiss guys can make movements, but they shouldn't dress themselves...

Whats your view on why its flawed?

Honestly I was going to start a thread on this and how annoying it is to set the date when say your watch has stopped showing the 2nd and the day you want to wear it is like the 28th.

The jump hours feels not very solid and everytime you move it the minute hand also moves slightly back and forth. It honestly feels like the movement is cheaply made.

Plus its just annoying rotating the jump hours in circles over and over and over again. I hope with the new GMT movement they do a quick set date.
