I work on 5th ave - if I tossed something out of my office window, 30% chance I'd hit someone wearing a Sub.

I rarely see Rolex in the wild. On TV yes, but not much in my region. When traveling, I tend to see more, but still not very often. In the PNW, I see tons of Apple watches. In Central WA where I live, I have only seen one other Rolex in public. A friend of mine who's Dad gifted him a 16233 that he has worn for years.

Oh and I would guess many of the Subs people see out there are fakes. There is a huge subculture of fake goods.

On the big city you will see many! It’s iconic watch after me for Rolex lover and Rolex made it from 1953!

I most commonly see Datejusts. I don't really see too many other models at all, but I'm never really looking either.

In the U.K. I went to an AD I have brought from before. Different assistance to my usual person and I was fobbed off and told a 3 year wait for a SubC.

They are out there, you got to just wait a few weeks/months

In the public, I have seen a few about too, not common in my local area, Apple watches & fitbits tend to be everywhere

The only one I ever see is the one on my wrist. Never seen one in the wild.

I dont see a lot since I started consciously peeking at others wrists. I could see Omegas and Breitlings from time to time but mostly Citizens, Seikos, Gshocks and the likes.

I maybe in the wrong place or crowd eh

Tons in NYC, as has been stated.

I was in Barbados for the past week and saw many among tourists, too. Hell, a guy who had to go through the extra security screening with me on the return flight was wearing a 114060.

They're not "everywhere" of course, but when it comes to luxury watches the Sub is extremely, extremely popular. You are 100x more likely to see one than an AP, PP, Hublot, JLC, Blancpain, etc.

Definitely depends where you live. In my neck of the woods I see lots of DJ's and Subs. I've probably seen 100 Submariners in the last couple of years compared to one polar Explorer 2 and two Explorers. I've never seen a Milgauss in the wild.

Interestingly my local AD always has a Submariner and a Submariner w/ date in stock.

I work as a luxury concierge for wealthiest of the wealthy; the top 1% of the 1%. I see subs here and there, but mostly everything else. Believe it or not, I see 18K Pepsi GMT's almost as much. I actually just saw a beautiful SS DJ as I was typing this. Spotted a YMII yesterday, and a SS SD last week.

I walk by the Rolex store every day, but here "in the wild", I'm lucky enough to see a variety.

On a sunny day in the Boston financial district during lunch hour on a walk, I typically see one, maybe 2 subs without even trying.

Whenever I see a “luxury watch”, 9 times out of 10, it’s a Rolex. And 9 times out of 10, it’s a Sub.

How often to do you actually see a Submariner on someone’s wrist ?

Not many seen locally... and closest AD is 130 miles away. I spot lots of them when we travel though.

In London in the city, lots.
In London elsewhere, occasionally.
In the Home Counties, less often.
In the Caribbean in resorts, a fair amount.
In Ibiza in the 5 star hotels/resorts, all the time. Almost everyone has one on.

To be fair though it’s often ‘overcoat’ weather in London so everyone has long sleeves on.

In SF (the city, not SF Bay Area as a whole), not too many. If I walk a block in downtown, I'll see a dozen people wearing Apple Watch, and probably one or two with a mechanical watch. Quite sad really.

The first time I encountered Subs was in college. Back at USC in the 1990s, a Submariner was part of the unofficial uniform - cargo shorts, t shirt, and a Submariner. Coeds all wore ladies Datejusts.

I've seen two Explorer IIs and just one Sub since I started looking for them consciously.

Very rare here in Wisconsin. I was at Nordstrom's in Milwaukee today and saw another guy wearing one. We looked at each other like we were long-lost brothers.

Definitely the most flipped Rolex. Over 4K for sale on Chrono alone.

That's interesting. I went to USC in the '90s and didn't see any, although I may not have known what I was looking at back then. Ironically, a classmate used to lust pretty heavily after my $100 Seiko quartz, which had been a gift from my mother on my 16th birthday...so not everyone was wearing a Rolex.

I was also just in SoCal last fall - both in Orange County and Pasadena - and I didn't see anybody wearing any Rolexes there, either. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

I’m on Whidbey when not working or traveling. I agree, Rolex sightings are rare in the islands except for Roche and Friday Harbors. See more in the summertime obviously. Which island are you on?
