Thank you guys for all your replies. Nothing like a bit of locker room comparison to know where you stand in the world. And yes as we all surely know it is of course not all about the size, but how it is used.

Have been holding off on getting a Rolex for a few years, but the SD43 seemed to check all the boxes for me. I think it looks so beautiful, yet such a rugged tool at the same time. The SD43 looks fantastic on all of your wrists, and I’m glad to know that my 7 1/4 inch should be able to handle her (or him!) in a most satisfactory way.

Never thought to measure my wrist but just did and it’s 5.5” and my 43 fits perfectly, as does my AP ROO 44. I think personal preference, body type and hight are more significant than your wrist size.

Your wrist size should be just perfect. Mine is the same size and it fits wonderfully.

Of course, and if you insist, it's not really the size of watch that truly matters. It is in how many different ways, and frequency, you can use it.

Every man needs a great tool watch.

Or, perhaps when alone, call it having the right tool for the right job at hand. If that is deemed to be 7" then so be it.

ALL help is ALWAYS appreciated.

Ok, seriously guys, it is not just wrist side overall, it's the flat surface area. Of course fashion and current style dictates what 'fits' in a sense. In 1965 a 42mm watch would be a bit large fashionably-speaking. Today, a 32mm watch is rather petite for the average man.

But hey, there are no 'rules'. Wear a watch on each wrist (Nicolas Hayek style) and enjoy your time

Seems fine on my wrist...

I have a flat 6 1/2 wrist, the SD43 fits fine in my opinion.

I'm super skinny (long distance runner), 6.5" wrists, 60kg 182cm. Can't wear anything over 42mm. SD43 looks funny on me.

You have a beautiful collection. The SD43 does look bigger than the other pieces but I wouldn’t say it looks too big.

Not my collection pal, just a set of pictures I took at work. Yes I have a great job, RSC watchmaker.

OP did you ever pick up that SD43?

I find it fascinating that watch size and fitment is really subjective. I would be a smaller guy and have a watch that’s too big then a bigger guy with a watch too small. In terms of size, im in the latter. Im 5’9, 280 lbs and built sturdy with 7.5 in wrists. I tried on a Sub and it felt too small, the SD is the smallest watch I feel comfortable wearing size wise. Then again my forearms are 13.5 in around haha

Not yet, although I followed advice I have read on other posts on this forum with regards to getting watches and I popped in to my AD last week just to check in and for a chat. Had a really nice chat about watches, Rolex’s supply issues and everything else. He said I would have it by the end of September which suits me just fine considering I originally walked in off the street 4 weeks ago with no relationship and no prior purchase history, having been laughed out of all the big chains and made to feel like I was scum.

Thanks for all your pictures and comments so far. It’s looking like with my 7 1/4 inch wrist the SD43 should fit fine. Although on a 6.5 inch wrist I must say it does look slightly out of place!

My concern with the SD43 remains with the thickness.

The thickness is not an issue for me. The SD43 is 15mm thick. My Tudor Black bay Steel is 15mm thick and my Panerai Luminor Marina is just over 14mm thick, so it should feel very at home on my wrist. I like watches with a lot of wrist presence.

The dimensions of the watch make it wearable by pretty much all men's wrist sizes. Your main concern is whether you want a big watch or not. If you don't mind the size, you can pull it off.

7.25 inches is more than enough to pull off this watch.

7.25 wrist here and the SD43 fits perfect. After years of wearing a 5 digit Rolex it took a few days to get used to but now I can’t take it off. Good choice imo.

5.5" doesn't seem possible. Maybe you are using the Chinese inch (cun) measure like that other guy?

7.5” wrist. Fairly flat. Just bought a 126600 today and loving the watch and fit. I’m wearing it snug enough so it doesn’t roll to the outside or slide down past my wrist bone. Hope you get yours soon.

My AD will only let me put an order in for one watch and I'm contemplating the SD43. Problem I have is there's nothing around to try on to (a) see if I like it in person and (b) to see how it sits on my wrist. I have a Black Bay Bronze which is also 43mm.

Does anyone have an SD43 and BB Bronze that they could share side by side photos with please? Also interested to know how the thickness compares to the Bronze. Thanks in advance
