It’s time to go PM..... ideas?

I’d be grateful for some inspiration.

I’ve got a reasonable SS collection and indeed everything I would want, as I have no particular love for the Daytona (I struggle to tell the time on it!) and save for finding a list price Pepsi, I’m done.

So I really have to get a PM watch now. I’ve looked so far at the Bluesy, the yellow gold blue dial Sub and a rose gold/oysterflex Yachtmaster. Is there anything else I should be considering? I don’t need a dress watch - my Calatrava comes out for those occasions. I’m looking for something more every day.

Fire away.....

For a Rolex this. You sure you posted this in the right section? 5711R if a PP.

5980/1AR

If you have considered TT, then that is the ultimate one to have. If i wanted a TT watch i would be all over it. Its obtainable too.

Full PM... 5980/1R

Go for a Patek AC, PC, manual chrono or a PCC. They will all be available in PM.

My favourite watch of all time is the Day-Date 40 in yellow gold, so that would obviously be my recommendation to you.

When I got my 5726, I was going to sell my 116655 because I felt it would be a nice big dent in covering the cost.

I could not bring myself to do it. I just love it too much.

Will it last forever in the collection? It is hard to say. But it is a truly spectacular watch. Super unique, very comfortable, well balanced and the rose gold, matte and black goes so well together.

Lots of nice gold watches out there. But that is definitely my pick.

well tyler, thanks! but i fell out of love with the watch:::)))) after wearing the 5712A for a month i put on the 5980AR yesterday after coming back home and - even after a day's grace period - it feels uncomfortable, heavy and unpleasant. i did not have that issue when i wore the watch over extended periods but this time it struck me really...maybe you guys are right and the protruding bottom plate of the 5980 series is not helpful at all comfortwise and the 5990A is better in that respect:::))) esthetically i still like the AR a lot (particularly its chameleon features in changing light) but the comfort is bothersome. this evening i put on the 5711/1R and what a relief:::))))
maybe i should safe my money and put it into the 5740G right away instead of into the 5780/1R, which is even heavier.....
