At least this post with the photo had kept me busy today with looking the only problem for me is that the collection is way to much for my personal preference… On the other way you have all cool watches and this collection might be the Pinnacle of somebody that literally buys to his taste and knows exactly what he wants so yes.. Your collection might be either the image of a perfect personal collection or a collection that is way to big.. I would add something like a AP, PP and sell the rest and keep 3, but i am a 2-4 watch guy.. If you look at this from another perspective well... You have plenty of ''choose'' to play and enjoy out with….. So interessing topic and i will decline all my earlier advices as i am all after a Original collector like yours.. Obviously it is also NOT that you can't afford a high end piece and only have a bunch of casios and seikos than it would be much easier to tell you to sell all seikos and buy 1 sub or gmt.. I don't see any ''shitters'' in your collection only cool toys. And your collection shows what you actually LIKE and i think an AP or PP isn't simply your taste.. The Rolex SD might be on the upper-limit in pricerange what you actually really love.

I’d consolidate. Unless you get enjoyment out of all of them. Too much going on there for me.

Nice collection. Probably the most unusual Ive seen posted on TRF with only a few Rolex pieces out of many. 6 months of acquiring A LOT of pieces is a short time. Enjoy them for a while and if shopping for watches is enjoyable (looks like it is) then do that with out purchasing. Getting rid of pieces that quickly when you don’t seem to need the $$ doesn’t make any sense to me.

Oris BC4 is a really unique piece with very unique deployant clasp like I’ve never seen on any other watch

Big collection

IMHO too big and unfocused

Yes variety is good but you amassed this collection in 6 months. For me at least I just can’t bond with so many watches in six months and you can’t truly love them all. Guarantee some will become paper weights

As some posters have said, downsize and consolidate into some higher end pieces. Doesn’t have to be Rolex but I’d get rid of some Breitlings and Omegas there’s just too many in that collection

Go for quality over quantity

I think so too...

What I’m probably going to do is wait until I find out which ones are the paper weights.

As all these pieces are new to me, as of yet, I’m wearing them and enjoying them.

I would figure out what I really like and what is just ok. Then I would see what I wear. From there, I would sell everything that I did not feel special about and did not wear. I would focus on watches that have good value for the money and will also have some resale value. Less can be more.

Sell most of your Breitlings and Rolex Explorer, then buy 1 stand out piece. Rose gold Reverso?

This is the 47mm BEAST I’m wearing today.

Bingo. I think that’s exactly it. Its all new now. Within a year, I should have a much better idea of what I wear and what just decorated the safe.

I think I can already say, I rarely wear these pieces and need to move them on:

But this one will be the hardest for me to get rid of. I wanted it for 3 years before I got it, was difficult to find it and I never see it listed for sale, so I know I won’t be able to re-acquire it if I regret selling it.

This. Quantity over quality is something that springs to mind. Some nice pieces nevertheless!

Consolidate the 2-3 you don’t wear into 1 special piece you’ve been wanting

Great collection! Consolidate 6 of those into an AP/Lange/Patek.

Once you’ve got subs and seamasters you don’t need tags/oris unless it really sings to you.

I totally agree with your advice.

FYI, the 2 Oris and the Superocean Heritage are the only watches in my collection that get noticed and complemented lol

If it were me, I'd trim down significantly. I finally just got down to two and it's quite exhilarating and freeing. I was constantly stressed about what else I needed, what I should wear, etc.

you must be carefull topic starter to not buy ''to buy'' with watches you can Always ''add'' something, but it is impossible that every purchase is hitting the same snare
.. I wasn't aware of the fact that you bought all of these in such a short period and i think that is concerning to say at least.. It looks like an unhealthy habit of buying rather than making rational desissions about your watch collecting journey.. Are these 2nd hand pieces or new?? I hope they are 2nd hand but they look new imo..

Majority are pre-owned. Majority are great deals compared to similar ones I’ve found.

Good, than it must be a good change that you do not loose to much money .. i hope for you
sell everything except the 2 rolexes and buy only super quality pieces from now on… You need to up your game to loose that urge to buy constantly.. Fight against it and give urself 1 or 2 watches max every year. do yourself a pleasure. You clearly have the funds so don't be shy to spend a lot on 1 piece
Search into Breguet,Vacheron constatin,Ulysse Nardin,AP,PP,JLC..
