My kid could care less. She is absorbed into her electronic devices.

I don't usually talk to my kids about brands but they know I like watches. My son got a watch from one of our friends recently and is proud to wear it...

My older daughter (11 yrs old) absolutely loves Rolex and she was with me when I purchased my last Rolex (Hulk). She’s looking forward to taking couple from my case as I had promised her one when she starts college.

My 15 year old son got his first Tudor at 14. He now has three. He knows everything there is to know about all of my timepieces, and knows far more about movements than I do. My 17 year old daughter owns and wears every day a Tudor glamour. She loves it...the difference between the two? She loves her watch, doesn’t want more and really doesn’t have interest like I do. My son however, plots on a daily basis, which one he’ll wear first when I croak...
He was ready at 14. She was ready at 17. Each kid is different. Both of mine are responsible enough now that if it wasn’t so precocious, and I wasn’t concerned about them being robbed, they’d be wearing stainless Rolex. The day I gave him the 36 black bay, was beyond special. A real wink and a nod moment between dad and son. His first, that he’ll have forvever and probably wear right through college. I wish I could grab a picture of that black bay now. He wears the shit out of it. Looks like it’s been through war. The benefit for me? I knew he was ready, he’s particularly responsible and it wasn’t a passing interest. And I get that many more years watching him enjoy timepieces. Honestly, I’m very lucky to have a son as a gatekeeper if something were to happen to me. He’d know exactly what to do with them. |

My 10 year old tells me I should sell my sub and ex2 and buy a corvette. He’s already plotting his drivers license and he’s got 6 years to go!

Despite my best efforts, none of them show any interest in watches at all

I don't have kids but my nephew who I raised doesn't have any interest. His son who is now 6 months old is drawn to my OP39 and grabs at it every chance he gets. Of course he does this because it's something shiny. But there's still hope.

As he becomes frighteningly brand-conscious as a teenager, my 15 year-old spends increasing amounts of time trying on my watch (and sneaking off to take photos of himself wearing it). I'm going to end up having to buy a second Rolex for my second son, and a third for myself!
