One new Tudor release this year

Mike Manjos on WatchBox claims they had a zoom conference with Tudor (am assuming a rep). Tudor disclosed that they will be releasing one new reference this year. I am more inclined to believe a watch retailer than a YouTuber and am looking forward to seeing what Tudor has in store for the watch community. Hopefully not another Black Bay.

As it is the 50th anniversary of the Tudor Monte Carlo, I am seriously hoping that it will be a 50th anniversary edition of it.

A chronograph with a 12 hour counter would be cool!

Oh for the love of god, just make a burgundy BB58. It's the exact same watch with a different-colored aluminum insert.

But my actual guess is a minor Pelagos variant, something unexciting enough that it only barely counts as new, and that's why it's not waiting until next year.

It seems that Tudor believes it's one release in 2020 will quickly become a bestseller. In that case, I speculate that it will be the BB58 GMT.

My AD mentioned a few months ago that they could no longer order the Monte Carlo as it was being discontinued so I’m reasonably inclined to believe this one. I’m certain if it’s revised it will get the in house calibre, slim way down, and find a spot on my wrist

Given that last year was the 50th for the Ranger, and 60th for the Tudor Sub Date and they gave us the P01, I wouldn’t hold my breath for an anniversary Monte Carlo.

Yeah but the ranger is barely relevant and the sub date isn’t even a current model. I’ve always liked the look of the Monte Carlo, just hated that it’s 17.68635ft thick. Who knows what will happen? But I can say that I hate these watch makers holding back items they’ve already created. Just introduce them for Pete’s sake. Unless they plan on releasing double the new product next year we just got shafted a year of product releases!

I hope that Tudor does an introduction of a new watch. If it is a new watch, not a color variation of an existing watch, it would be a submariner that we all thought was coming last year at Basel. I think Tudor does mine each model so I could see a Green Pelagos or an upgraded movement in the Heritage Chrono. Let's see.

They seem optimistic...but then again, if I was only introducing one new piece this year, I for sure wouldn't be downplaying it.

Interested to see what this "home run" might be, but kinda nervous too. My collection is already saturated with Tudor, so anything in at this point, means something's got to go. I guess we'll see...

Agreed! Same problem with the Planet Ocean - beautiful design, amazing movement, wears like a brick, lol!

If they could flatten out that case ill be in line....i love the watch but it’s comically thick at moment

My guess is a tudor sub. We expected this last year. Tudor/Rolex is going to do tandem releases like the GMT. "New" subs for both.

Not bad at all. They better hype this all the way up because with one release, its a hit or miss

Super unlikely any time soon, but I'd buy this immediately if it were available with the champagne dial. I've been eyeballing serti subs, but I'd happily take a BB58 with a similar look.

One new Tudor release this year

The Tudor Heritage Chronograph series of watches currently measure 13mm thick. Considering it houses a high grade ETA 2892 that is combined with a modified Dubois Depraz 2054 chronograph module, it isn’t terrible.

By comparison, a Rolex Submariner 114060 that is time only measures 12.5mm thick. Another notable watch from big brother Rolex includes the SD43 that has time and date which measures 15.2mm thick.

However, it is probably in Tudor’s best interest to do a better job with the case design in order to get a slimmer visual aesthetic.

Sounds very promising. Im curious to know whether he used the words “home run” because he was directly quoting what Tudor told him or if its just his own words. If he’s quoting Tudor then it could be a reference to the Monte Carlo home plate, Which would be fitting as previously mentioned it is a 50th anniversary. But who knows, Either way I'm intrigued!

I agree and if you think about it who would introduce an anniversary model a year late?

Im not sure if anyone caught this, but at 3:00 in the video the presenter says "We're gonna see new product from Rolex, now we know Patek will also be releasing new product" Im not sure if this is a slip-up and he has information on Rolex 2020 releases or he is just referring to the Tudor/Rolex company with regards to the one Tudor release. Thoughts?

My dream Tudor release would be a blue Monte Carlo with an integrated chronograph movement, in a 38mm case

It'll be a S&G Clair de Rose. Let's see if the customary release date is still maintained around October/November.

Stop stalling and milking the Black Bay 41. Release the 58 in blue/red/green and get it over with.
