Chord Hugo and Poly with Beyer Dynamic headphones, using Roon on a MBP. I also have a Naim Muso 2 which is an excellent one box solution for a small house.

Here are my watches and I have a dozen or so Sonos speakers/playbars/boxes throughout the house so I can play different music in different areas or have the same music throughout the house. And i can just pick them up and move them.

Works well for me.

Here is my audio system. I won't include any Rolex since the audio system has nothing to do with my watches, and neither does my car, grill, or kitchen knives.

I WILL, however, post a photo of my Rolex and my toenail clipper. There are many like it, but this one is mine. I bought it when I moved from NJ to AZ in 1972. It has seen me through my marriage in 1976, the birth of my 2 sons in 1980 and 1984, their growth into adult hood, and now with their own kids!

I have gained weight over the years and can barely see my toes let alone clip the nails, so sometimes my wife has to help. She says I deserve a new clipper after all these years, but I am keeping this one, as I know the value has increased excrementally from the $1 I paid for it. I thought of servicing it and having it replated but I fear the angle of the cutting edges will be altered and the value will be destroyed.

I know the clipper will be a family hairloom and I keep it in the safe when not being used, lest it be stolen. I couldn't live with that heartbreak.

I'm surprised more of you guys aren't in to hifi.

I mainly listen to headphones (Focal Utopia) with the Chord Dave/MScaler as the source.

Wow, Fabulous.

Fabulous TToby amp as well. The Dave is what dreams are made of, add the MScaler and it is out of this world. Way, way out of my league, but I would love to hear your impression of how the Dave sounds without the MScaler and the difference it made. (Hope that made sense). I am seriously considering upgrading to a Hugo 2 and 2Go with some iem's from Campfire Audio, I would get some Audeze open back but because of my impaired hearing iem's are a better choice. I use Roon with some HD audio on a NAS.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Whoa, that is a hard question to answer concisely! Rob Watts at Chord is really a genius of digital design, so any of their DACs are fantastic. The Dave in and of itself is a truly amazing end-game product. I could be quite happy with it on its own. But the MScaler is the culmination of Mr. Watts' legacy. I'd say the MScaler pushes the Dave to be about 20-25% better, which is good enough that I think you can compare it to any digital front end at much higher (insane!) prices. The only problem with this combo is now I want to upgrade everything else (headphones, amp, speakers, cables, etc).

I think the Hugo 2 setup you mentioned would be amazing. Hopefully you can find a good dealer that lets you have a long audition. At the end of the day, it's about how much time you spend listening to music, and how much the improved sound quality is worth it to you. Enjoy! Maybe you can post in this forum once you made your next move. I'm sure that down the road there will be way better DACs than the Dave, and then you can pick up a Dave at a bargain price.

I'm into hifi but I don't have Rolex to post with as per OP. I mainly like analog though.

Thank you, great write up, I have a Mojo/Poly atm and to be quite honest they are fabulous. I can quite understand your desire to update amp and speakers, no matter what you do, your system as it stands is just fabulous.

I have just read about Rob Watts signing some of his equipment in gold pen at one of the shows, apparently, a really nice man. Thank you once again for your opinion and thoughts.

Which Goldring is that? I had a 1042 before I went MC. The Goldring was outstanding. They rebuilt my Linn Troika as I believe Goldring was the original manufacturer.

Thank you Dave. It's a joy to listen to. I enjoy a very broad spectrum of music and the Linn seems to bring it to life. Unlike watches where we are often looking to the next one I am very happy with my system
