Help putting my 1803 back into its case.

Hi everyone, I hope I’m posting this on the correct place. I would appreciate if someone can offer some help putting my 1803 movement back into its case “properly”. Issues I’m having: Can not make movement to seat flat inside the case. Can not seem to keep the dial “centered” or “properly” aligned with the day-date windows, since the dial doesn’t have any feet when I put it back in the case it would not stay in place it keeps moving out of alignment. The inside of the case doesn’t seem to have the same kind of “rails” or “groves” as my two-tone model 16233 in which I can just align the screws and rotate de movement to lock it in place. Here are my questions:

1-Does the screws & clamps on the 1803 need to be removed completely to remove the movement or just get them loose? ( I removed them to get mov out).

2- Do I put the screws/clamps back before or after the movement is back in the case?

3- When putting the movement back in the case, Do I position the movement directly with the 12:00 & 3:00 alignend right from the beginning or should I put it in a different position and then rotate it to align it to the 12:00 mark?

4- Since there are no feet on these pan-pie dials how in the world are they supposed to stay in place and properly aligned with the day-date apertures, it doesn’t seem to be any friction there, are there any tricks to keep the dial still other then using glue of some kind?

VERY FRUSTRATED after spending several hours trying to put the movement back in the case.

Thank you very much in advance for your help !!!

1. Yes they need to be removed.
2. After.
3. Align the hole for the stem with the tube and insert the stem, carefully tighten the screw.
4. They're friction fit, if they are too loose you will need to take hands and dial off and slightly bend the side rim so it has enough friction to stay put.
