Very conscientious of you Bas. Whether or not the customer cares is beside the point, but your attention to detail is really commendable

For my part, I am sometimes guilty of this although it's not a consistent practice.

Haven’t had to do it since shutdown in mid-March closed the tracks.

But in late June I hope to have a reason to care again.

Me too. Always try to line up the seconds and minutes hands, although usually settle for a few seconds either way.

We're fortunate forums exist...

I feel the same way as OP, but if asking most people, they would think I'm nuts.

The engineer in me likes precision so yes I align the minute hand to sync with the position of the second hand. Nice thing with a GMT Master ll is you can move the hour hand without stopping the watch and my watch has been crazy accurate it has gained 3 seconds since December of 2019 so fortunately I only had to synchronize the hands one.

Definitely another guilty one here. As one poster said, its part of the fun of owning a watch with a movement that enables one to be drawn to this OCD.

I definitely do this, as well as setting it to the second until I have to set it again. I bought the dang thing for accuracy standards, among the reasons, how else can I revel in that? :)

Every time!

One thing I have noticed is that there is a little "free" play that makes the minute hand float a fraction and if you don't unhack the movement in the right part of the float it is out.

OCD for sure!

Since it doesn’t have a second hand, I even go so far as to set my Saxonia directly centred on an index marker as the atomic clock ticks past the 5, 10, 15 or whatever 5 minute mark it is.

I do this too. If when I push in the crown the minute hand drifts again, I’ll sometimes even try again.

You need to wind it forward and back slightly to release the tension

I do the same.

I did it for 42 years with the 7 Rolex and 1 Tudor I had in my life, since my 18th birthday.

It is so easy, with a Rolex, to stop the second hand...

I sync the minute and seconds hands on my watches to a clock on a home weather station which updates from the radio clock signal daily. OCD?

I also do the above exactly. I use atomic clock for setting. Then I go with the flow.

i also use time.is, as proudly being part of this group

I sync the hands whenever i have to restart the watch after it stopped. But i found it very tricky with the minutes hand, always a bit off, maybe an optical illusion caused by the viewing angle?...

Anybody else or am I the only one? On my Rolex it is relatively easy but my other watches with the gear backlash being more than it is on the Rolex, it takes some patience and some practice.
+1. If you're going to have a nice timepiece you might as well set it to the correct time. Maybe a bit anal but also part of the fun of having a Rolex.
