They're the people who think you can't wear brown shoes with a suit.

Both are more than fine. Majority of time I wear my DD is on the beach when I’m on vacation

I’m of this view as well

So I guess if you want my honest opinion OP, I’d be more likely to Sub/Suit than DayDate/Beach

I thought wearing what you want is fine. After seeing the photos, I have to agree that the Sub doesn't look right with a suit. A picture is worth a thousand words.

How about this... my recently acquired grail, Hulk submariner... I will be wearing this with a traditional black tuxedo (white shirt, black tie) at my wedding. lol, so for all you nancies saying you can't wear a sub with a suit, can jot that down on a piece of paper, ball it up, and shove it right up your...

I wore my Sub with suits while calling on customers for years in the 80s, seemed very appropriate to me.

both of these are FAR less of a head scratcher/face palm moment than running your pepsi watch under a running fountain of pepsi. because, well, pepsi.

I have a friend who had a modest business and saved for quite some time before buying her Rolex. Her thought, long before this thread, was: "It took me a long time to afford this watch. I'm wearing it everywhere, with anything, every day."

I can't argue with that.

I can think of far more inappropriate situations regarding which Rolex to put on the wrist, but since I like the forums and don't want to get banned- I'll leave it at that.

If I had a DD40, anything less than that would be inappropriate.

All the pics of the scenarios are fine up to a point.
It depends upon your style and whether it's credible.

I do draw the line at French cuffs with a Sub though

Agreed.
It's mostly about style though and context comes in a close second.

Both look fine to me too, but it would be a bit better if change the bracelet of the Sub to black alligator strap.

I think anything goes...DD anywhere with any attire. The sub with suit wouldn't be my first choice, but not totally out of place. Go for it.

A proper dress watch with 50 water resistance at the beach.
Now that takes balls.
