Bracelet repair UK for 16203

Hi All,

Who is the trusted UK repairer of bracelets these days?

I have a 16203, it was my late fathers, I had it serviced last year by watchguy.co.uk and it runs like a dream, it doesn't get much wrist time due to the sentimental value but have been working from home recently so been wearing it.

When I set it away in 2018 for a RSC UK quote it came back as "needing a new bracelet at £2,000+. Anyway I don't want a new bracelet, for the same reason I didn't have it polished during servicing, because it was my dads watch and he made all the marks on it.

However the bracelet is pretty "stretched"

I'm aware of the chap in Hong Kong, but due to Sentimental value I don't want to post it around the world.

Don’t even think it’s bad. My daily TT sub 16613 is about the same as this doesn’t bother me.

Send it to Michael Young in Hong Kong:

He has done several for me, all very good

Can you take another pic and keep the watch straight/leveled? I don't think it looks bad/stretched at all. I wouldn't touch it. Definitely not needed.

Andrew do you have a photo with you holding the watch head horizontally (with the bracelet at the side)? That would show the stretch.

As pointed out above, it doesn’t look too bad. Not enough that it’s in need of immediate attention / repair.

I don't want it polishing. I want the stretch closing up.

TWD , search Seth the watch maker he has a section on bracelet repairs .

I have used Michael Young three times and have no complaints but Seth is local and quicker slightly more expensive but there is no shipping half way round the world no language barrier , Give Seth a try you won’t be disappointed

That bracelet looks pretty good.

Check the corners where the tie-bars connect the pieces together and look for wear and cracking. It looks a long way from breaking or falling apart.

As others have said, the bracelet is in pretty good condition, I would leave it as it is.

I'd rather somebody take a look at it and say no its good, than it break and loose the watch even though I hardly wear it out.
