Louis Vuitton Wallets

I'm looking for a Louis Vuitton wallet that will last a while. I don't know much about their wallets (and they have many to choose from) and was wondering what TRF recommends.

Edit: Looking for cards and cash. No slot for coins. I'm particularly interested in what type of leather people recommend.

LV's taiga leather holds up pretty well. However I don't really find their normal vinyl canvas to hold up well. I'm personally a big fan of Bottega Veneta but I have many brands of wallets.

Really depends what you are looking for.

Cards only? Slot for coins? Cards + cash?

Very hard wearing

Good point. I just updated my main post to reflect that I want cards + cash and no slot for coins.

The one in my picture is not a billfold, just cards.

I also do a moneyclip so don't have cash in the wallet and I don't carry coins.

4 3/8 x 3ish. I only want a front pocket wallet.

That's a gift card on top.

Thanks. I’m considering going back to a card holder. I’ve been using a sterling silver Tiffany money clip (4 cards wrapped in some bills). I really enjoy this super minimalist carry.

I was at an LV store 3 weeks ago and wasn't impressed for that kind of money, luxury item or not. Check out >Walletera< Many designs too choose from minimalist card holders to folding wallets, just got one, good and tough made leather..

The LV Epi leather holds up the best but I've had much better luck with the the durability of Goyard wallets and bags.

Try Berluti. Much higher quality. ;-)

I found Epi leather to be extremely durable. And attractive.

I have owned both and they both look new after years of use. Surprisingly since the goyard is treated canvas, but it is really durable.

I have this one and it’s perfect. I’m amazed. It looks brand new and I’ve had it for 2 years. Mainly kept in my jean pocket.

I totally agree, Epi letter or Goyard.

I have a card holder in EPI-leather that I'm satisfied with. Don't like the edges tho, they tend to look bad after some time

I received a LV wallet about thirty years ago, and it still looks new.

In terms of durability, how does LV's leather and canvas compare?

The one in my picture is 7 years old. Still flawless.

I really don't care what other people buy and have no dog in this quest. Personally I wouldn't want a canvas one or the one made out of duct tape either.

Mine was a gift and when it wear out in 20 years I won't need a wallet. Maybe make that 10 years.

My LV Pocket Organizer (as Blansky posted) is awesome. A few folded bills fit inside yet dont fall out.

After two years, it still looks new. I have epi leather.
