High Quality Fake milsub dial?
I came across this watch post again from a local seller who sold another similar milsub before.
This time, I have even more question about this watch he listed. I flag the watch as it's basically a milsub dial on a 5513 (BSing that the marking got rub out ) Now, I need some help from other real expert in the field with milsub: 1. Are the hands Omega are just completely fake? 2. The dial looks very close to genuine, but there are some prints on it that I question but not 100% sure... will this be a really good fake? |

The dial is fake, no idea what the hands are from, could be omega.

dial is no good - not ever close. With that said, I wouldn't worry even about the hands.

I think the dial looks good and appears to be the first version (serif) of the 5517 dial, I'm sure the established experts in this area will be will be along soon to put me in my place but I think it looks good. The second hand looks a bit dodgy . Looking forward to learning something from this thread in any case.

I agree it would be fun to hear but I doubt Jed, Mike or Haywood will chime in to say exactly what is off and not. I might be wrong though..

My feeling is that this is mix version dial. I have seen very bad rep, but this has this and that and not here and not there. But its abit scary with milsub reach to the point where you really have to put an effort to scan very minor detail to reach to a comfortable conclusion. Hope the pros can offer some pointers |

There are several different, correct variants of 1970s mil sub dial of course.
Here are some images with correct dials and hands (consider the thickness of the strip of tritium in the minute hand in relation to the metal border either side of it) : What is the case number of the watch he is trying to sell you, or at least the first four digits? Insta : haywood_milton_rolex

I don’t think those are even omega hands. I had a vintage SM 300, and the hands are better quality than these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Milton thanks again for chipping in again! learn a great deal from you just by looking at your Milsub replies!
The seller never mention the last 4 digit, as I assume the watch is piece together and rather a genuine watch. What I'm really interested on is the dial alone, I have heard there are different types of handset (but not publicly compare) EX: Service and variations. However, I want to know/have seen if the first 2 version of the dial has slight print variations even they are from the same series or not. Last 2 set of dials use mainly for double Ref and 5517 are very specific. Thanks for the pros chipping in again! |

Dial could be good.
It's the first four digits of the case number that I would like to know. Could you ask the seller, please? H Insta : haywood_milton_rolex

Any update on this, or further information from the listing that can be shared?
Can anyone identify the listing directly? Would be satisfying to determine exactly what was shown here. Insta : haywood_milton_rolex

It's all a bit smelly, but it would be good to know how smelly and how the dealer is describing it.
