I love the design, but I won’t be buying one of these after all. They should do much better than that. I’m going to guess inferior materials, but I don’t know. I do know that my LV is packed fat and looks brand new a year later with daily use.

I think it’s the construction. They just flat stitched two pieces of leather together, then glued a strip to hide the seam.

See this Prada, for example... they wrap the leather over the edge before stitching.

You are right. Flat stitching alone won’t hold up in that fold.

Yep, I agree as well. Also, saddle stitching is the way to go for small leather goods.

Same thing happened to my FLP with minimal use

Agreed Sam but my former LVs took 2 years of daily wear for that to start. This was like the equivalent of 4 months wear because I barely used the wallet. It is just a thinly constructed piece for better or worse. Being such a new brand hopefully they make some improvements.

Yeah your experience is unacceptable, my LV issues were considerably longer and still not on!

Wow that's disappointing about the FLP products. I've been really happy with my Goyard bifold, and use it daily except when traveling. The painted canvas exterior has a bit of wear along the surface from going in and out of the pocket, but the stitching and canvas integrity has been great. The leather internally has been durable as well. Card slots have loosened up a bit, but it still requires some work to get them out, so no danger of cards sliding out on their own.

I almost ordered one a while back, and am now really glad I didn’t. I’ll stick with Goyard for that style.

Honestly, for no particular reason it hasn't seen a lot of action. But I'll switch to it soon. I like the look and it seems to be well made. I have a couple over under belts that I wear frequently that I really like.

Is there a warranty period? Same issue. Thought nothing of it until I read the post.

Not sure but I contacted the boutique via email and they were great. I paid post back to Paris and they overnighted a brand new one to me.

I had the wife throw it on eBay and I ordered another LV.

As if the rolex forums didn't cause me enough trouble picking a watch! You guys had to throw wallets into the mix!

My old wallet I had custom made to match an old panerai strap is dying (i've actually taken it apart and restitched it!). The card slots aren't separated either so its destroying my cards!

I was about to order an LV Pocket Organizer in graphite, the layout on the inside is great. However I really like the FLP print so considered Portefeuille Poche. Is the layout inside still the same? Anyone checked prices on them recently?

I contacted the boutique, and they're blowing me off. I sent my first email a month ago and it basically said "We're looking into it."

I sent a second email a week ago, and they haven't bothered to reply.

I had the same issue and contacted them via email. I bought my wallet 14 months ago. Claudia told me to send mine back and they will send me a replacement. She replied to my first email in 2 days. Not sure how long ago you bought yours. I should be receiving the new shortly.

I hope you hear from them soon.

Hmmm. I only bought mine six months ago.

Maybe I'll send them another one tomorrow or so.

Yessir!

I'm a big vintage Toyota guy. Always on the hunt for Land Cruisers and pickups.

While not vintage, I still dig my 1st gen Tacomas!!

I drive new Toyotas everyday. Love them. I drive my personal yotas to and from work. Love them.

As long as it says Toyota somewhere, it is truly exceptional

There has been plenty of gems up for auction on BaT lately it’s unreal.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ruiser-fj43-4/

I hope they bring the next gen LC back to reality and offer a stripper in the US. Nobody needs all the crap they tack on these days

Anyways I digress and nobody else cares!

Be well

FLP update.

Louise has requested that I pay postage back to Paris and they will take a look at it. No promises of repair or replacement. This is kind of souring.

I believe I have two more new in the box, and I am likely going to sell those and go with Goyard.

The FLP's were cool while they lasted .... unfortunately that wasn't very long.

Mine sold on ebay in a matter of days. I got 295 for it. Unfortunately the LV I ordered as a replacement arrived with a significant cosmetic defect so now I am back to my Goyard. The struggle is real.

Not a luxury wallet but it does feel luxurious.
