Interesting update! I kind of like the changes they made to the fold and it likely will help with the wear.

I used LV wallets for many years, but about 2 years ago I decided to switch to something a bit more simple. I got this slim Tumi wallet and surprisingly, it has held up really well. It still looks like new. I love it.

After dabbling with many of the upscale brands mentioned here (FLP, Goyard, LV, and others) I have finally decided that my Coach with the Logo cover is my favorite. I have more stuff that I carry than any small wallet can manage. For some of you that might be a sin but for me a lot of the time I need the different cards. I like the fact that the Coach has both a Cabin Cruiser and a dingy. The dingy is great if traveling light is desirable. The Cabin Cruiser with the dingy on board works for me most of the time.

I ended up buying another original archbishop pattern from Jason at Monk Made (as a back-up -- this coming from a one wallet guy) but something a little more multi-color fun in all Italian Buttero with a nod to Chiboy. I'll post pics once it arrives.

Love the original Archbishop pattern I purchased as it's proven great for my George Costanza expenditure receipt storage in the hidden fold.

The decision was easy in that the all Buttero wallet was approximately 25% cheaper than the cordovan shell outer version posted HERE

Very cool collection of watches and wallets! Time to add a YG or RG piece to purchase a yellow or orange Goyard wallet.

Got my dad a saddleback wallet, he loves it and has informed me that it’s mine when he kicks the bucket.... their warranty/guarantee is hilarious.

Has anyone successfully e-mailed the Paris Faure store successfully?

I sent them an e-mail a couple of days ago - I'm interested in the bi-fold pocket organizer. Haven't hear back yet.

Wanted to make sure I'm writing to the right address

Cheers

Yes, I have recently. Charline is the rep that has been responding to me. The previous lady (Claudia) who used to respond has left the company.

While their stuff looks nice, I would not buy anything else from them. I bought a wallet and the folded top portion started to delaminate on the edge. They told me to send it back and they sent me a new one. I have not used it since and may just put it on the Bay. My wife's purse had a similar issue at the base of the handles. I sent it back and they quoted 3-4 months to fix. All my wife's other purses, Hermes, Chanel, LV, Gucci, Chloe never had this issue.

Not trying to scare you out of buying, just buyer beware.

Appreciate the heads-up. I'll give it more thought.

Can you confirm the e-mail address you used to e-mail them - in case I decide to move forward?

Thanks

Figure I'd get another from Jason while @ Monk Made the getting was good. Went a little quirkier with the colors but it turned-out great! Almost a classy Joker wallet.

Another of his original Archbishop design but in green, brown, and burgundy Italian buttero. Lower cost than the first Cordovan Exterior Monk Made w/ buttero interior because this one is all buttero.

Fantastic quality and dealing with Jason was a pleasure as usual. His latest inventory of buttero had changed slightly on color so he emailed me with his discerning eye regarding the hues, but my layman eyes saw no difference and I'm happy with the results. Turn-around time was about a month or so.

The first wallet is barely broken-in but I switched over to get this one started. Needless to say, I shouldn't need a new wallet in decades...

4 Month Update:

I recently purchased a FLP wallet. Their Portefeuille Poche Calibre in Empire Green in January. Since then I've definitely put some miles on it from traveling abroad to festivals and concerts. has been incredibly durable with no scratches, peeling, or tears.

New Luxury Wallet

Pulled the trigger.

Ashland Leather (Chicago)
Johnny the Fox
Rare Marbled Cigar with reverse interior
Horween Cordovan Leather

Had a great correspondence with them to help direct my interest, the option is not advertised on their website, but they offered my choice of the small batch.

I just got an email from FLP. Looks like they added a bunch of new wallets and you can finally order them online now instead of having to email them and ask what they have.

https://www.faurelepage.com/en/colle...eid=f907f24e16

However, I've kinda been eying the slender wallet from LV and I love the blue stitching and leather on the inside. Has anyone purchased this particular one any feedback?

surprised anyone carries a wallet anymore. Must a be a thing if you are over 40. All my friends just have everything saved on their phone and ID on back of phone.

I picked up a slender wallet in epi about 6 months ago and it's just freaking huge and is awful in the back pocket. I'm kind of thinking about getting rid of it or buying something smaller for everyday use. It is fine in fall-spring when wearing a coat.

I had a Valextra that was a perfect size but got beaten to hell over about 10 years. Contacted them about recrafting it but they don't (and also don't have a similar replacement).

I’ve had a LV pocket organizer for a couple years now and it’s held up perfectly. Very soft leather and no real signs of wear and tear.

https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/p...r-ombre-010130

I like small wallets but a little more than a 4 card holder..
