BLRO for the gmt function and date. I don’t really need a chronometer.

White Daytona I feel will be a rarer and much sought after watch, the BLRO will settle down and become like the BLNR GMT given a year or two while the Daytona will be difficult to come by. Plus I really don't like a Jubilee bracelet.

So what did OP get? I cant imagine they giving hime a week to decide....
The suspense I still think The BLRO will be harder to get... remember the Daytona has been produced before the SS shortage. The BLRO was introduced into the frenzy...with improvements in lugs that is reminicent of older sub references...cheaper msrp. Etc. it has broader appral with much much less supply. Btw i have yet to notice the rasberry that people were bothered by. Of course im not holding it next to a BLNR. But that jubilee makss it so fun. Such a great summer watch |

For my own use - the BLRO.
However, and this is key, the white Daytona Ceramic will always be a rare find. The BLRO will also not be the easiest to get, but it will be similar in availability to a BLNR once things settle down a bit. Thus, if given the option, I would take the Daytona Ceramic ...and then put my name on a list for the BLRO. |

The BLRO will be more readily available after the initial hype.
The white Daytona will continue to be very difficult to locate. Rarity aside however, I would take the white Daytona every time...it is not even a contest. Mind you, I like the BLRO a lot...but it’s no Daytona. |

I would grab the Daytona.
If you're not absolutely thrilled with it, then you could always flip it for a BLRO. |

I have both. Wearing the Pepsi and that is what I prefer. I love the Daytona though and can totally understand why anybody would choose that.

Reading your comments on the forum I decided to go with the Daytona. Predominantly because I have the 116520 and a 6263 and I felt that getting this watch was a natural progression. I rocked up, and the AD had both watches out. We spent a good 15 minutes going through the pro and cons of both watches - considered which one complemented my current collection best and I started gravitating towards the BLRO. I don't have a GMT, I have resisted getting one because I have an Explorer II and a 1655. AD's opinion is that in the long run the Daytona(both black and white) will be harder to source, mainly because the Daytona's movement is more complicated to manufacture and there is a current wave of GMTs hitting the market. The same happened with the Daytonas but he feels this is different. I told him I would probably rank the 3 watches in the following order: 1. Black Dial 2. BLRO 3. White Dial He went to the back and came back out with a Black Dial but it has been spoken for. He said, if you really want a Black Dial we should be able to get it for you in 6 months. Come back with your BLRO and its yours. So I got the BLRO! |

Wise choice! Sounds like you're going to eventually end up with the "2 pieces" you wanted the most anyway, ..........with just a bit of waiting.
Big congrats and......... |

You can’t go wrong with either one. But your pick of BLRO is a good choice.

Out of curiosity - what made you fall harder for the black Daytona (over the white)? Your original post made no mention of having a preference for the black over the white. Just wonder if this was something that you finally realized after seeing them all side by side or was always the case. |

BLRO. That red/blue combo really lifts my spirits - especially coupled with the elegant Jubilee. Nice problem to have.

I love my Daytona, but since having it (and flipping a 114060) I have learned that I prefer watches with a date. Not only do you get a date with the BLRO, but you get the GMT function and a bicolored bezel. I would likely go with the BLRO, and I can't believe I'm saying that.

I have owned both and kept only the 116500 white—so I’d say white 116500 no question.
