Yacht Master yellow gold with blue dial?

A while ago I sold my YM 116622 with blue dial, almost forgot the reasons now but think it was the big numbers on bezel and not doing either dress or sports well. Since then I bought a SD4K and Daytona C but can’t help to be drawn to YM again. I appreciate the slim case for once and I miss a blue dial watch.

One of my favourite colour combinations is yellow gold and blue dial. White gold and blue dial is also great, been looking at DD40 and Daytona WG with blue dial (will try to upload pics later). Unfortunately only old DD 36 comes with blue dials.

Have not had the chance to try a gold YM. Does anyone own one and can share some pics and a few opinions on owning it?

My collection of steel sports is pretty much done now and next pieces will be gold which will hurt financially quite a bit more so want to be sure I like it. If I buy full yellow gold it would be a special occasions watch. If white I could wear it more frequently.

Any thoughts you could share on making the transition to PM and specifically your thoughts on YM with blue dial would be appreciated!

I can only add you'll hear pm will not hold up like ss. My father's almost 40 year old 18078 worn all the time never off his wrist looks just as good as a ss model that old and used.

There is a DD40 in WG with a blue dial. However, I would recommend looking at the YG Submariner C with Blue dial. I don't own it personally, but would love too.

For YG/Blue dial, I wouldn't even think twice. The Bluesy.

I wouldn't advise going back to the YM...there was a reason you let it go. If you felt it didn't do sport or dress very well, I doubt that opinion is going to change.

For WG/Blue, the DD40 or the Daytona are both spectacular. Here's a pic of the Daytona.

Very very nice the blue daytona!

You are probably right on not going back to YM.. would be stupid to make that mistake again.

Yeah the YG sub would probably be the smarter choice over YM..

The YM in yellow gold must be unusual, don't think I've seen a pic here before.

The YM is quite possibly the most comfortable sports Rolex watch I have ever owned (and I own many ) Mine was bought in 1997 and looks as sharp as it did back then. It's sporty and elegant at the same time. Perfect for every occasion

Wow!! That DOES look very good. Gold and that blue dial is a perfect fit. If only those numbers was a little smaller...

Need to find one to try
