Managed to pick one up. Great size and it really is a stunning watch and I would choose over a sub any day. Not as good as the North Flag though

Wow, I was looking at the North Flag too - I just couldn't get over the straight edged case and the black rimmed bezel. Otherwise with the power reserve, in-house instant date change, and sapphire caseback it's a winner.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or are the hands coated with rose gold or yellow gold? I still can’t distinguish after a week of it on my wrist lol.

It is rose gold. But a slightly different hue than the markers. When you compare it to the yellow gold hands on the two tone Black Bay the difference between pink and yellow is clear.

Thanks! Didn’t know that. I think the rose gold adds to the overall look of the watch very nicely!

I finally got to see one in the metal with the chance to buy it.

Sadly, I couldn’t get past the gold bezel markers. It just shifts it too far into ‘gold dive watch’ territory. I didn’t mind them when the watch was announced, but in person... I couldn’t warm up to them.
They kill it for me.

It was actually kind of heartbreaking, as this is otherwise as close to ‘my perfect watch/exit watch/one watch’ as I’ve ever seen. Everything else about it is incredible.

Given how divisive those gold bezel markers have been- does anyone think Tudor will ever make one with white/silver markers? Or perhaps black/red/blue heritage 58 versions with the rose logo & anchor text?

This watch is so close to perfect for me... I’m actually considering the blasphemous act of reaching out to some of the aftermarket bezel insert makers to see if they could make a high quality silver/white marker bezel insert for it. Though I’m guessing that would likely void the warranty & cause issues when getting it serviced, right?

What’s a guy to do? Damn those pesky gold bezel markers!

I actually really like the gold markings to accent the watch. Really makes it pop and sets it apart from other divers.

I do suspect there may be a varient to your liking either this basel or next.

I was on a trip to the UK this week and was quoted 6 months by one dealer, then in another AD there was one sitting in the window on the fabric. I tried it and it was OK but didn't sing to me. I also thought it was a bit too small. Why they didn't make it 40mm with 12mm thickness is beyond me.

Like the 41 wore far bigger, so does the 39. Owning one, I'd say you won't pick the difference.

I loved the BBBlue first iteration [eta] but it was a bit too large .

The 58 seems to solve the size issue perfectly , the in house movement with 70 hr power reserve is great ...
Trade off for me is the extensive Gilt finish & the " rivets" .. That said I will still buy one . When it is available at MSRP or less .. paying a premium for anything is a complete turn off !! There is plenty of profit at retail - too much greed

Got mine today. Love it! Perfect size for a 6.75 inch wrist. Been looking for a piece to compliment my BLNR that is smaller and under the radar. I’ve finally found it.

Question for other 58 owners, does manual winding seem stiffer and louder than your Rolex? Perhaps the reserve is full, but I feel like its stiff and loud when winding. Also maybe because it needs to be broken in a little? Is this a characteristic of the new Tudor movements?

Hi guys, this could be rookie question from my side but BB58 is actually my first watch ever. Absolutely loved it since Baselworld and somehow I managed to get one on a fabric strap month ago.

I haven't adjusted time often but today I noticed that when crown is unscrewed it's covered in some white paste/grease. For sure it wasn't like that when I set time first time. Is that some kind of lubricant? Haven't used watch under water, in shower etc.

Thanks :)

I'm attaching the photo. May not be the best but hard to catch this details with dummy camera but I think that it's visible what I described. Maybe tomorrow I will try to get DSLR for better photo.

The lighting isn’t perfect where I am cos it’s 2am, but I’ve checked mine and it appears completely free of any kind of grease or white paste.

Have you had sunscreen on while wearing the watch or some other sort of lotion?

No suncream or lotion really. Also grease didn't appear to be in that gap between case and crown when crown is fully screwed down. Not mentioning the fact that nothing really should get there when crown is screwed down right? Doesn't look very 'swiss-perfect' I must say.

I guess I will try to gently brush that out and check back in few weeks time.

There's rumors of a blue dial/bezel version at Baselworld this year. It's bound to have silver markers.
