What is the precision of your Royal Oak? How many seconds does it deviate?

My ROO diver runs to within a few seconds each day

I haven’t done any exact checks or anything like that on my 15450, I think it’s something like 5 minutes fast per month. No experience with other watches before but I think it’s acceptable and I rather have it be fast than slow so I’m happy with it!

My 15710 diver is +2 seconds per day thanks to APSC NA.

Extremely accurate. My ROO 44 gains ~10 seconds/month, regardless of number of days worn, chronograph use, or resting position.

No idea. I stopped caring about a few seconds a long time ago. Generally my APs are okay but not great, but if you really want precision you need to have APSC dial it in because the spec for AP is broader than PP or Rolex when it comes to deviation.

I’ve always wondered how you could measure it’s accuracy without a second hand.

That being said, my 15400st from 2016 recently started losing 5 minutes every 12 hours. I sent it to APNA for service and luckily it will be covered under warranty

Probably the way I do it, I do have a seconds hand but I don’t pay very close attention so I check the accuracy every couple of weeks/a month. So instead of seconds/day you do minutes/month. You could also then divide and convert that to seconds…

This is true. I was disappointed when I first got my diver and APNA told me the spec range. I started to think that watches weren’t very good technically. I didn’t send it back just for that. Shortly after I had a magnetism issue and sent it back. All covered under warranty and I specified +2 seconds per day and to my very pleasant surprise it was like that for 18 months. The crown came out in my hand, sent it back which they covered and extended my warranty and the watch has been exactly 2 seconds fast per day coming up on another year. Very happy. I was daily wearing the watch as well. Currently I only wear on weekends and wear my Pam to work (only because AP did a light polish but she looks new so....)

My most spot on AP runs at a little less than +1/2 second a day and the worst is +12 seconds per day but that one is probably due for service soon.

I used to obsess over accuracy and then realized I was spending far too much effort trying to sync my watches to an atomic clock and checking it at the same time everyday. Decided its better to set them around the right time and just enjoy them.

Only have had mine for a day - seems to run ~4.5 to 5 seconds slow. Overall definitely acceptable but would love for it to be in the 3ish range (a bit spoiled by Rolex I think). Anyone know what position to leave it in overnight to make it run faster?

Try dial up. Usually the fastest position.

Thanks! That worked - runs about 5 seconds fast with dial up so should be able to get it to balance out with Combo of wearing and overnight dial up

Had a chance to run the watch through the measurement instrument and was surprised that my 15450 (<3 months old) has a rate of +16s/day when it’s upright and +6s/day when it’s facing down!!

Not sure if this is still within manufacturer’s specs but it seems rather disappointing for me, especially when I had a chance to compare it with my friend’s Panerai and Seiko.

My watchmaker ran a similar test (same machine?) and my relatively new 15400 was also pretty off, I don't remember the details but +12 I think. Not thrilled about it but not too worried either.

My 15202 keeps the time very well. Even afterwearing it a full week I don’t see a deviation. Last revision was three years ago.

My RG 44 is a machine, it keeps excellent time but more impressively it starts up just when I pick it up, don't even have to shake it once.

I noticed +/- 1 second per week, but when its cold about - 5 seconds

I also noticed a difference in timekeeping between whe AP does the service in brassus and authorized service centers run by third parties. My two 25721 the obe serviced by AP in switzerland ran +-1s while the service center was about +-5s. Could be individual movement's quirks or just that AP in switzerland is better....
