Grand Seiko Experiences?

First of all I have to say:
Thank You, Rolex, for the shortage! I found other brands because of the shortage. First Omega and now I’ve been interested in Grand Seiko....
What do you think:
How does Grand Seiko match into Rolex&Omega -collection?
What are your experiences wearing Grand Seiko?
My first honest thought of Seiko was: ”Cheap Japanese watches....”. But now when I accidently saw some pics of Grand Seiko, I got excited! And now I’ve been reading articles, history of GS, watching videos...
These two are very interesting IMO:

This one maby too close to EXP II:

I tried on the top one at a watch show. It is very attractive in person. I believe that it is a limited edition. GS gives you a lot of bang for the buck compared to Swiss watches.

Really pleased with my snowflake. I had set aside funds for a hulk but didn't find one after 1.5 years...

Oh and we had some $$ left over after getting the snowflake so we got another piece...

And we still have funds left for extra straps!
One caveat about GS - their original straps and buckles are ridiculously expensive.

Was in the market for a white dial watch and tried on a snowflake a few weeks ago. It is impressively light because of the titanium case and bracelet. Ended up going for the explorer 16570... the GS finished second.

They make exceptional time pieces that would have very high price point equivalent w the Swiss. I have owned the sbgm027 which was very Rolex like

Sold it ......fast forward today

Seriously contemplating the sbge201 tried it on this week end and it is superb all around masterfully finished just whoa

I have the SBGE201 and ended up selling my GMT Master. For me personally, I found the accuracy along with the fit and finish of the GS superior. So much so that I just picked up the SBGR limited edition to replace a DJ 41. I never paid much attention to GS until recently and used to just walk past the display at my local AD. After a little education from Dan at Timeless, I found I was missing out on something special and now I am hooked.

Thanks. About +10 seconds a year. It's a 9F quartz movement

New to GS myself and have to say I am blown away by the quality. The fit and finish are incredible especially when you consider the price. They are also every bit as accurate as my Swiss watches. So overall very impressed and highly recommend the brand!

Nothing but good experiences so far. Be sure to try them on in person as fit is key. Excellent value.

EXP II is a great Rolex! Congrats for that! The bracelet in EXP II is somehow difficult for me: it stays a little bit loose all the time... I tried taking one link off, but then it was too tight...
That I didn’t know that there is a titanium case&bracelet in the Snowflake!
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah: sbgm027 is too much Rolex like IMO! Otherwise that would be something to seriously concider..
Wow: that sbgm027 looks stunning. Some more pics, please?

Well said: The fit is the key. Also the pics and how the watch actually looks in reality are two different things.

I am a huge Seiko fan at the lower end and have been trying to educate myself on the GS. My AD carries them and I have tried them on and can not seem to balance the look with the cost and wear. I will probably at some point get one, I just have not found the right one yet.
