Perhaps we would be better asking; what watch was, say, Captain Sullenberger wearing, or
the last firefighter out of the WTC, what was he/she wearing, or which timepieces our people
representing us in the 'badlands' of the world are relying on. I expect, to their credit, they
would be embarrassed to be asked.
It might make interesting reading though.

As we've said, 'celebrities'?.....pah!

James Cameron. He will go down in Rolex history and mentioned along with Paul Newman and Steve McQueen. The director of Terminator, Aliens, and Titanic AND real life deep sea explorer!? That’s an important man right there.

Any explorer from the vintage Rolex ads; Wally Herbert, Thor Heyerdhal, the Sirius Patrol guys, etc... you get the idea.

After hearing Jack Nicklaus speak about his Rolex, I would have to say, “THE GOLDEN BEAR.”

Celebrities don't impress me, as it's so easy for them to acquire any watch they want. John Mayer is a perfect example. I'm much more excited when I see a normal person wearing a Rolex as they generally have a pretty neat story behind how long they had to work and save to get it.

I agree 100% although I don't like to see anyone robbed. But when someone with many many millions of dollars buys an expensive watch or car or whatever it just doesn't impress me. Any one like that can buy what they want. I'm more impressed with the person who scrimps and saves and goes with out to save up and buy something nice, not every one has that discipline.

A picture that will surely send celebrity haters over the top here's 15 year old Romeo Beckham, son of David Beckham, sporting a Daytona C. I'm betting there was no wait involved.

Well the flip side to this is that these so called "rich celebrities" also worked hard to get to where they are hence they reward themselves with anything they wish to buy now. So I can't hate on either person rich or not. Everyone's story is different

^^ For some reason it is socially acceptable to have economical prejudices against the wealthy. Generally boils down to insecurity of ones own social standing and simple jealousy.

Haha, David Beckham, as a Tudor Ambassador, mostly wears a Tudor in public nowadays, while his teenager son openly wears a Rolex. Beckham père must've been thinking: "FML".

I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing it took that kid more than just one summer of mowing lawns around the neighborhood to earn enough to buy it. Well, either that or the neighbors have really, really big yards.

Let's assume that Romeo mowed the lawns of 1000 houses in the Berverly Hills area and vicinity, and got $12 for each house. His dad never paid for his Daytona.
