Incoming: first Omega, SMP 300m Sedna/Steel on rubber

Finally bought an Omega after all this time.

Snapped one quick pic...left it with the store for them to ship to me, with arrival on Tuesday. Liked it in pics, but really dig it in the metal.

Very much looking forward to getting this one on the wrist.

Just bought this same exact one. I can tell you - it is one of the very few watches I knew would stay in the collection right away. Just a spectacular piece and very well done. I so badly wanted the rose gold YM, this gives a similar look at a fraction of the price and without the worry of the OF pieces fitting. Get some good pics up when on wrist!

Thanks, all!

What’s funny is that while I’d thought the YG/steel version of this watch looked great in pics, I never seriously considered pursuing one of these guys in any configuration.

Ran into the Sedna/steel version by happenstance today, tried it on and my immediate reaction was, “YEP! Coming home with me.”

The rubber strap is outstanding and I had the same thought you did, lbhphx23, when mentally comparing it to the oysterflex, and the value proposition for this watch is really solid.

Plus, I’ve been getting bored waiting for the “privilege” of Rolex taking gobs of money from me for watches I actually want of late, so it’s good to try something new.

I definitely recommend trying it on...more impressive on the wrist than in pics. Thanks and enjoy the hunt!

I’ve tried it on. They’re probably getting tired of me coming in. And I agree way more impressive on the wrist.

Nice! I’ve not cared much for any of the divers Omega has offered after the 2254.50, but the new SMP’s are stunning.

Nice purchase I bought the same one last week.
I can’t believe how comfortable the rubber strap is.

Yeah-stunning watch-wish they'd have put some red in the Seamaster on the dial-I've had the hulk-but I think the new omega is a sub killer.

Finally got it on the wrist today. Really, really comfortable watch and I am impressed with the finishing. I like the ceramic dial and scalloped bezel.

Everything about the purchase experience was great and the presentation box is impressive. Superb on my wrist and the price to happiness ratio is solid. Great value here from my perspective.

Thanks! The OEM rubber strap is really impressive. Comfortable and hugs my wrist perfectly. Huge fan and definitely recommend it.
