Bvlgari Finissimo — Stainless or Titanium? Help and pics!

I’m committed to buying a Finissimo but can’t decide between the titanium or stainless. Weight on both is fine, I’m more concerned with the style of the titanium vs. stainless as it results in the color of the watch. The titanium is a dark gunmetal gray and the stainless is a bright whitish satin stainless color. I think the stainless has a more timeless appearance and will be more versatile whereas the titanium is more avant garde. Right now I’m leaning towards the stainless but I also keep going back to the titanium. I just can’t decide and spent an hour yesterday at the Bvlgari boutique trying on both with no resolution!

So, titanium or stainless??? And why did you choose one over the other?

Titanium:

Stainless:

The Ti gets my vote.

Get the whole ultra thin ultra light package! Why would you want to miss you on that? That is the whole barely there thing about this watch anyway. Also Ti I believe is hypo allergenic and has better thermal properties on the skin - if you are into that sort of stuff.

There is also a sandblasted golden version that feels great on the wrist but am afraid to flashy for me.

And oh did I mention their Chronograph GMT version in the same line!!!

Do get the bracelet version though. You can always get their strap after if you would like to.

Keep us posted on what you do.

I vote steel. Unlike any other steel tone...

I like the look of the steel based on your pics. Have only seen Ti myself.

Tried on both in person, and my vote is steel. I liked the lighter color and the slight added heft. Both are great though.

Beautiful design. I'd go SS.

I think if you’re going to go for the O.F. you might as well embrace its avant-garde nature and select the Ti, or at least that is what I would do; I certainly feel Ti is the purest expression of what this watch is about. The steel feels like a compromise for those who don’t ‘get it’ but want it regardless?

I tried the Ti on a few months ago and was mightily impressed by both it’s lightness and the warmth of the titanium; it felt really nice on the wrist. There was a bit of dissonance between the watch’s featherweight and the visual heft in its beautiful movement, and I found it enchanting.

The SS has a coating on it, that never ages well. Go with Ti.

I have not seen the steel but it does look good in pictures as the Ti is very dark. I'm curious of the all ceramic black version too.

By not aging well, do you mean from a durability perspective?

Both look really good on You. This is a kickass piece. I would give the nod to TI for lightness and I think less susceptible to scratches

That looks great. Is that the Ti version? Color looks lighter than the Ti.

Yes, even if the coating is hard with time it normally wears off and look worse than a normal scratched up watch. Maybe it adds a nice ‘patina’ for some.

It's called patina.
