Icon4 New Bell and Ross BR05

New line added to bell and Ross. Looks like a nautilus.

im a fan of this one. i think the bracelet/ strap options are good. the dials are clean and legible. yes it draws inspiration from others, but would never be mistaken for anything other than itself. not going to pay retail for it, but i will keep my eyes peeled on the pre owned market for it.

Yeah looks totally like a Nautilus just like the Nautilus looks like an Ingenieur because they straight up copied the the H-Link design, lol.

If I wanted a Nautilus knockoff I would buy a Piaget before I bought this ugly thing!

If anything the Polo looks like an Aquanaut and actually outperforms it in terms of design. Still nobody buys a Piaget because he wants a rip off but rather because he wants a Piaget.

Nice Tom! 40mm case size, right? What is the case thickness?

Thank you!

Yes, 40mm case and the profile is about 11mm. The watch wears very comfortably.

I think it’s a decent addition to B&R’s repertoire. Does it look like it’s trying to be a nautilus ? Sure , but it also has the DNA of B&R (circle in a square), and it is a more manageable 40mm and looks good (though for me I think it was a mistake to not have minute markers across the line- like they want to be panerai or something)- I think it will be a big seller for them. For full disclosure, I don’t own any B&R and prob won’t buy this model , but I do respect the decision to bring this to market

I thought the same on price until I put it on my wrist. I knew it was clearly for me. At least it was less than the Datejust I bought yesterday.

I really like it. Keeps the core brand DNA and incorporates some design elements from one of the current unobtainables.

At least this one seems to come w a hat ... whereas the purchase of multiple 5711s doesn't qualify the buyer to receive a free hat IIRC...

I think they look quite nice...maybe the bracelet could have been made to be a little more, umm, unique? But, overall, the aesthetic seems pretty smart and sophisticated to me,and well withing the B&R world of watches.

And, anyone that can't tell the difference between this and a Nautilus might need to get their vision checked.... ;-)

Congrats to the early adopters in this thread, looking good!

Drop by local AD and tried the grey dial on. It is nice. Compared to the 41mm Royal Oak, this appears noticeably smaller and most definitely lighter. Perhaps the blue dial with the blue rubber band would look sportier and more appealing. They have it but I did not get to try it on.

just check the manual which said must not set the date between 9 and 3. should be careful then.
