Keep the 5107. More PP DNA.

I have the 5107g, 5107j and 5227r. If you are looking for a white gold model, I would recommend keeping the 5107g, and the 5227g is not as interesting a piece as the 5107g. The 5107g with its wider bezel and crown guards has a much more prolific profile than the 5227g. While the 5227 does have the officers case back, unless you are taking the watch to demonstrate it, no one really knows. I find I wear my 5107g and j much more than my 5227.

I prefer your current Calatrava. Cream colored dials have never sung to me, but even less so specifically with WG/Steel cases. A J/R would be better with the cream dial to my eyes.

That said, both are stunning. Get the one that keeps you up at night!

What I really like about the 5107 are the crown guards...the way they curve going to the crown.

I agree, some don't like the crown guards, but I think they add a certain flair to the case.

Thanks. I haven’t been able to warm up to rose or yellow gold yet. I tried the rose gold version at an AD and did not like it that much.
