Firstly congrats on decluttering! I recently went through a similar process tho following the “konmari method” which isn’t purely about minimalism but reduction of crap nonetheless. Between the daytona and aquanaut i would take the 5167 just because it’s so simple and terrifyingly versatile. The Daytona is ofcourse an amazing watch too but for me as the “only” watch a Patek is where it’s at.

However can’t you just keep both? a watch hardly is a cluttering object haha

Out of those I would keep the Daytona.

If it were me, sell both for 5711.

Sometimes over a year.

For a one watch choice only, I would keep the Daytona.

As already mentioned many time here, Patek is nice but not a daily use watch for me except if you don't do anything with your hands !

Personally I would keep the 5167 because I cannot live with a watch with no date. And I have no use for the chronograph function at all

Personally I prefer a watch with a date, and I have no use for a chronograph. So my answer is pretty obvious - 5167

I would probably go Daytona out of those two.

I hope your not starting your declutter process with watches. Start in your closet :)

Considering the time to have a watch serviced if needed, I'd prefer a Rolex over a Patek if left with one watch.

Same boat as you. Sold off all my other watches. Now have the aquanaut on a bracelet and a Seiko 62MAS re-edition on a tropic strap for a beater. And beater means yard work and maybe beach. Since October I have worn the Patek pretty much everyday.

Why would you go back to something that disappointed you by breaking down after 18 months of ownership? I bet during these 18 months you were extra careful with the PP too.
