Submariner 16613 will not wind
I purchased my submariner new in 2005 and today is the first time I have had a problem. I tried to wind it and immediately noticed that it felt different when winding, like it was not really engaging. I placed the watch on my arm thinking the arm movement would start the watch, but it has not.
I only wear the watch in the evenings and weekends and always have to wind and set the date/time manually. The watch has never been serviced. Any suggestions? I am new to this forum as of this morning. Thank you in advance |

The wig wag is stuck probably because of lack of lubrication, when you try to wind give it a quick spin to try to get it to engage. Service is definately recommended. Rikki

Actually I had the same problem with my Gmt 2 (the crown not engaging) but rolex technician said it's nothing wrong, give it a quick spin and it will work! And it did! But it allways winds OK when moving.

The actual problem is, likely, lack of lubrication. Lack of lubrication means metal-to-metal cotact and, therefore, excessive wear and tear. Get it cleaned and re-oiled..
