216570 Bracelet adjustment

Hi Everyone,

I've got new 216570 Explorer II (42mm) yesterday.

I really like the new size and watch : )

---

I need to remove one link from 6 end and move the pin stop to all the way inside to fit.

The AD says it is better to remove the link from 6 end instead of 12 end (when removing only one link). This way the watch would not lean toward on wrist.

I think I have heard somewhere it is better to start removing a link from 6 end somewhere and it feels right and the watch stays well balanced on my wrist.

However I am not sure it is right and I want to make sure it is true.

After removing the one link from 6 end, I have 4 links on the 6 and 7 links + 1/2 link on the 12 end.

Is 4+(7+1/2) better or 5+(6+1/2)

Many thanks for your help.

Definitely remove it from the 6 end.
Congrats on your Explorer, it's a beauty.

I would try the 6 o'clock side first and see how that feels. If it doesn't feel good, then you can always swap from the other side. It's an adjustment, not irreversible. Just a few turns of the screwdriver.

Official Rolex advice - remove first from the 6 o'clock position.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess the AD was right.

Even Twelve o'clock end is a bit too long comparing to six o'clock end (that has only 4 links), I guess this is good configuration.

Thanks again!!

I would just try it and see how it feels. It's easy to adjust bracelets, just take your time and be careful. I use painters tape and remove my wedding band when doing this. For my 114060 I removed two links from 12 and set the guide lock in around 90% and the watch sits and fits perfectly on my 7.5 inch wrist. This setting also allows for the diver's extension lead when needed.
