6 different Resting Positions
I know some you have certain resting positions for your Rolex and I have tried a few but so far crown up or down and laying flat seems to not affect mine at all, I’m not trying to self regulate much as my DJII has been running pretty well at a fat +2 SPD so I’m guessing this is more of a what position gives you the best return for your resting position or is it all different to each watch
I have read somewhere where they say there are six possible positions for resting but I’m not sure what those positions are |

The 6 are:
Crown up/down Dial up/down 6:00 lugs down/12:00 lugs down The dial up/down positions usually tend to be a bit faster. I can hit +0.5 SPD crown up overnight. It might be speeding up a bit as it gets older because I used to be able to regulate it to 0.0 over several months. |

Thank you Gents .... I will try the crown at the 12,3, 6 and 9, I have rested in winder with it being off and crown up/down seem to be +/-0 but I’m pretty happy with the +2 on daily wear but if I could get better I wouldn’t complain.

This sounds like a discussion of Yoga.
I just wear my watches. Once in awhile I compare the watch to my PC's time. Resetting is rarely necessary. In 35 yrs. service has been done twice. Couple of seconds here or there, who cares? |

I thought I heard that the newer movements are less affected by positioning than older ones

Thats mainly correct for most all of the 3 and 4 series movements, and cannot see the point in perhaps a difference of perhaps 1-2 seconds no matter what positions its left in.Fact no mechanical watch any brand any price at the moment will keep 100% perfect time close yes but perfect no.
