what do u think of the brand bulova? R they worth the money? R they a good watch?

Many nice looking watches. Own a stainless steel model with a leather strap. Quartz movement works well. Get's many compliments when I wear it. Provided you pay a heavily discounted price on RRP (40% or more), I think they are a good value. Not worth flipping. Which one you looking at?

This is the one I picked up a few years ago from an AD in Queensland. RRP was $600 AUD, and I paid $350 AUD. Battery lasted a couple years (I think the dealer had the watch for well over a year by the time he sold it to me). Bought a replacement strap for $80 AUD to keep for the future.

Bulova watches are currently a pretty good value/dollar item. Bulova is significantly behind the curve as far as current horology is concerned, but if you're looking for value per dollar spent they deliver what you pay for.

Older Bulova watches have much more interest and mystique, and there are some interesting and collectible pieces available at bargain prices. Here are a couple of mine, a 1949 manual wind and a 1960 day date automatic. Both still run flawlessly.

I'm wearing the 1949 vintage as I type this.

what a beautiful Bulovas here guys...Wil you got a very good modern watch there and Al just has great classics...I have a better opinion of the brand now :)

the current stuff i see displayed in the stores up here in canada leave me cold - i would much rather spend the equivalent $$$ on a seiko.

I owned a Bulova back in the late 80's. I can't remember the model number but it was a dead ringer for a gold DD. If anyone has a picture or can find out more about it for me, I would love to see it again.

I don't have any info on it. Just did a google image search for Bulove Day Date.

goodness, I've seen some lovely (and old) Bulovas but unfotunately this one lets the side down! Whilst a nice looking piece its a little too close for comfort!

Always liked Bulova and I tried to buy on several occasions without success. there are some real stunners here.

I think I may have to rethink again and try to get one of the older ones!

Guys, I simply LOVE my Accutrons. They are as beautiful (or more) than my Plat YM and DateJust. They appear to be made from really high quality parts. They have great bracelets. I have 2 vx-200's (regular and 7750), and 1 new Astronaut. All three are the best watches I have. There is something about the quality of the Accutrons which transcends the concept of money. When I take off my YM and put on my Astronaut or VX-200, I don't have the slightest feeling of having traded down in any level.

I have 1 standard Bulova watch, a lovely dress watch with a quartz movement and little diamonds at each hour. It's very nice and I'd NEVER use it as a 'beater'.

Oh, I forgot about the incredibly beautiful accutron I got from Shnoop for nearly nothing (it's got the curved crystal, 2 little digital windows, etc) and it's a fantastic looking watch with great fit and finish.

I suppose you think I'm biased, but facts is facts. These watches are superb. They're right up there with my Ball diver and my Rolexes. You just have to touch them and see them up close to know the Accutron quality. I don't know who makes them for Bulova, but they do a great job.

The accutron spaceview introduced in 1960 is one of my favorites.
Don't know much about there new ones.

I don't think a modern day Bulova will ever be a collectible and appreciate in value.
