Value? As in to make a few bucks? That’s what jobs are for.
Get a job. Earn money. Buy a nice watch to wear for the rest of your life.

Not much else to say on that.

Ditto, I wear the hell out of my SkyDweller. The more scuffs and dings I put on it from normal wear the more it becomes mine

No, I wear them, however I have hired a security guard to follow me everywhere.
Luckily, I have a king size bed, cause I wear them 24-7.

I no longer wear them because i'm getting annoyed with Rolex's game they're playing. Trying to make SS models a prestigious thing to own. AP and Patek take the cake for that and for good reason.

You know I am glad you posted this, I feel like this more and more, all my watches have double in theoretical market value, they feel like investments not watches, just today I opened a safe deposit box, and I plan to buy a Tudor.

Life sucks when your beater watch is worth 16k and you want to use it to play sports and bang it around

This too. Although sometimes we have to be reminded of it. I was thinking about picking up a beater watch for an upcoming Hawaii trip and my GF is like, "Take the Rolex! Its what you bought it for; to go out and enjoy adventures with." And she's right. Her parents are both Rolex owners and the constant of her parents Rolexes being on their wrists are part of her memories. She wanted to me get one because she saw how they became a part of a life.

Wear the watch! If you want to invest, buy an index fund. That is, unless you can be very specific about what you know about the true value of Rolex watches that isn't already priced into the market.

Do you no longer wear your SS model because of the increasing value?

Well.....no

Edit sorry I lied I wear my SD43 almost daily and my sub rarely because I will never get rid of the SD but am still contemplating flipping the sub to get a GMT or Daytona so trying to keep it pristine

No, I wear and rotate them daily. Though I do try to take care of them, being a left-handed galoot and all.

A lightly worn watch will still hold it's value. Be careful with your watches and they'll maintain their value. I was surprised as to how mine appreciated over the years when I sold them to the AD in the fall. Really almost 80 replies to this thread since this afternoon; amazing.

Both of mine have been put back into their respective boxes, quadruple wrapped with bubble wrap, followed by another 2 inch layer of foam, then more bubble wrap, and are stored in a bunker beneath my house. Almost ready to dig them out....just waiting for resale values to climb another 3-4%.
