The new everrose YM 40 does. It has the new movement too. But as an original everrose YM 40 owner I am perfectly happy with the 3135 movement and no glidelock clasp.

Wow... I agree I’m not sure that it’s needed, as the little ridge things expand and compress well enough on their own. But I suppose this will help you get it even more dialed in.

I have the Yachtmaster Everose. For sure it can be an everyday wear stand up to the elements. Mine is.(and it's a beautiful watch) Why not? Great warranty, tough body, water resistance, ... Yet, and not look too show-offy with that rubber bracelet which throws people off. So it's not as in your face like an all gold DD which really alerts people. But it's still not cheap, as you know.. But it's a beautiful watch and I really like mine. Yes, I agree, why do the PP?

'm currently leaning to get a dress watch to complement my sports YM watch: the Platinum Day Date (which one should I get? Am inclined to the iconic 40mm ice blue sticks model: people, please suggest! Luminox at night glow is desirable, I wear watch to bed)

Another point not discussed: the DNA of the YM here is very Submariner with the divers bezel. I use this bezel ALL THE TIME: timing stuff. Enormously useful. none of the others can do that. Love the timing bezel. I use it many times a day, but I'm sort of a data freak, I confess. Dont want all the complexity of a Daytona. Mechanical bezel a great compromise to a "stopwatch. "But it is overkill in functionalty and obvious complexty. I've sent multiple Rolexes back for service many times (USUALLY NOT WARRANTY COVERED AND EXPeNSIVE!) and I'd just as soon miminimize these expensive trips to them. YM is the one recommended. Till you get a "dress watch". Which is where I am. What after my Yachtmaster?

That DD40 in Pt with that particular dial is a dream watch for me so that's the one I'd vote for.

I wandered into the new boutique in Fashion Valley just to see if they had one in stock (they have several PM sports models on hand), and even the store manager wasn't aware. He actually argued the point a bit, but I advised him that I had looked on the Rolex website prior to coming in.

I'm curious to see it, now.

It was just released in March at Baselworld. I wouldn’t expect to start seeing them until Early summer 2019.

The store manager wasn’t aware of what? The changes to the Everrose YM 40? What point did he argue?

Its not surprising that he wasnt aware of the changes if thats what you meant. It even has a new reference number. But it was not a display watch at Baselworld. It was just updated on the Rolex website. I wasnt aware of it until I saw a thread here on TRF about it.

Yes, the point he argued (not aggressively, mind you) was that it was an easy link.

It’s a brand new Rolex boutique. I have no idea if anyone there really knows anything yet, where they came from, or what experience they have in the market.

My GF was wearing the thunderbird I gave her, and although one guy did actually recognize it, the others weren’t aware of what it is.

They are nice, though.

I have a strong relationship with an AD out of town, but I would consider using them. I just am unlikely to get what I would actually want from them without the buying history I have with the other AD.

I don’t want this turning into a thread bashing this boutique. That’s not my point.

the YM40 and 5167 is pretty neck and neck. I really like the Rolex as i think they did a fabulous job designing it. All the colors and black and rose go well together perfectly. The aquanat is nice but i wish it had black dial and band instead of brown, but its fabulous as well. The rolex just pops more in person and in pics... hmmm, decisions decisions
